It's really cute! The characters are all moe. I like the main cast a lot.

The setting is beautiful. I enjoy the design of the town, it reminds me a bit of Kyousougiga.

The divination methods are interesting. I'm curious as to what Chiya's method will be - The scene with the kokkuri was a pretty jarring change of tone.

I'm not sure if I'd call it 'anger' per-say, but you're right. I did paint myself into a corner there that made people blindly hate me and refuse to acknowledge anything I said as such. Yes, I do like anime, in-spite of thinking a large amount of it is terrible (including the stuff I liked) and I'm sure I even mentioned that before. In fact I've logged more than 11k ep of the stuff, spent thousands of dollars on merch, have had the same waifu for a decade, and swore off 3dpd ages ago.
The problems with anime applies to just about any medium honestly. As someone who also watches tons of movies (I have a lot of free time) I can tell you there's a lot of parallols, especially in how formulaic they tend to be.

In retrospect I think the real issue is these shows and charts have really horrible descriptions that don't do the shows justice. Anything will sound like garbage if they all read as: "mc-kun is a normal highschool boy blah blah meets beautiful girl blah blah saves the world." Granted a lot of these shows do end up sucking all the same, but it would help if they didn't sound so horrible to start with.

I don't remember the game being like this at all.

Apparently there's going to be an OVA, where Rinne and Jill get additional focus, but I think the damage is already done. Tsuzuki is far from being new to writing, so it's a bit sad when even a series like Keijo has better written characters.

Predictable character destroying ending aside I must say I'm very surprised and a bit impressed that they had enough self restraint to go the entire season without having Fate or Nanoha make even a tiny cameo.

It could be the biggest thing since R2 or flop hard if it doesn't have lolouch and C.C. The main characters were such a driving force in that show's popularity, I just can't see it being as big without them. Kallen and Suzaku are not the most interesting characters, after all.
