I started watching Friends and I find the main character's voice is really distracting. They sound very amateurish, but that seems to fit with the character since she's fresh off the streets and is new to the whole idol thing. I wonder if this wasn't intentional so as to have the VA improve and evolve over the year long course of the series along with the character.

A show about train girls coming up with ideas for merchandise to make trains popular.
I tried watching a couple ep of it, and it felt a bit lacking in direction. I know they don't have a lot of time to work with but it didn't seem like they established the characters or the setting particularly well either before throwing you into a plot line that feels like filler from a longer running series. Seemed like you'd need to have at least some prior knowledge about these characters to get the most out of this.

As always, this season comes with a lot of short anime that people might not bother to make threads for, so I figure we might as well put them in one place.

It's been a while since I've seen an anime this legitimately funny. In a way it reminds me a lot of aqua teen hunger force of all things, Something about the style of animation and type of humor in this feels similar. Almost feels like it'd be right at home on adultswim, before it turned to full on absurdist stoner garbage.
I was half expecting this to turn into a tourism commercial.
I think there is absolutely no denying it. The 'golden age of fan-subbing' is (or has been) officially over. Feels weird to live through one of these things.

A girl that just moved into town gets baited into joining a fishy club which is struggling to stay a float with bare minimum members. This little shrimp doesn't want to join but with time she'll be hooked on it. This anime is reel fun I swear, don't cast it aside!
Here's hoping there will be a sequel in the future.
