Alright, just redid pretty much every post due to me being retarded and posting the same day I wrote. On that note, I really need a proof reader. Anyways, please tell me if you enjoyed this format or if it is too cumbersome to continue to read it like this. As I said in the OP, I highly encourage you get the game. The music is very nice in this game and the sound effects help with the mood. Every post in this thread is a different screen and every line is a click click, so you could follow along pretty easy if you have the game.
Has anyone else read Giniro? I'm going through it now and not too impressed. The first chapter lasted all of two hours, leaving no room for any real development. The character art and the music is quite nice. The translation is a mess, but I don't think it was entirely fed through a machine. It's one of the few, if not the only, VNs to have an English translation done by the company that made it. There are a few parts that look edited, at least. It's definitely readable, but I don't know if you can say it's enjoyable with the translation in its current state. There was a re-edit/re-translation project for it that sprung up last year, but it's not ongoing. With some editing of the English translation, not the Japanese, it'd probably be a lot better. Obviously, it would be nowhere near entirely accurate, but sufficient, since it's unlikely to see a full re-translation anytime soon.

I've played this game last friday night (installed finally @ 9 pm, stopped at saturday 1:30 am) and saturday from 9 am to 5 pm. Holy shit this VN is depressing as fuck as you all know. Does anyone know if the spin-off novels and other related stuff has been released in English or translated? The universe needs to be expanded upon. Especially the Junker's experience as a refugee. Or was he a child soldier? It wasn't shown exactly.
There was a radio drama that was subbed, but it might've only been partially.
