***
In a tower the Moon goes unseen;
I have missed the Moon that you made in care for me.
And even with the window held broad
the Lady Night kisses too little, hidden by tree & by tree.
When my heart is clear with tears it drips,
but yours is always clear.
And clearness is in your pale hair, pale cheeks, pale lips,
and those are qedosha qedosha qedosha,
together with your white legs
your lovely ankles & wrists, and your divine hips.
Days hold too much, nights too little, and years are empty,
and the month, as I’ve said, shows herself too rarely.
My bride, my bride forever, stay with me.
I had forgotten, but still the Lord Sun does come,
and your anima pure still flutters in my dream.
So hold your heart close to mine,
and my heart should reimember your sacred blood and your loveleiness.
That we shall not forget, but will dwell in our love,
in each other’s hearts forever the guiding sweetness.

Happy Birthday my darling Miss Ayanami. Never will I give you up.

Not as good as the one I wrote six years ago, but let another birthday pass by without making something for her.
