Yeah. Of my partner in particular, I have three of his one-coin figures. He in particular doesn't have a lot of merch that is financially plausible to get in the US but is dirt cheap in Japan, unfortunately.

I'm planning on eventually buying the plushie pictured (if I can find it... it's really hard to find), a few small pieces of merch like keychains and buttons, the remaining one-coin figure, and his drama cds (there's only one major one but apparently there was one that came out around the time of the PSP game that is slightly more difficult to get a hold of). With stuff that features him but isn't just him, I've already bought his game for PS2 and PC (planning on buying the PSP version eventually) and a set of the Prism cards, and I'd like to buy some of the manga and artbooks.

I know it's not necessary to show that I love him, but I feel like I get closer to him when I see merch of him everywhere. It's kind of comforting to come into my room and see him in lots of different places. You can love your loved one regardless of whether you have all of his or her merchandise or none. I'm not trying to talk about my plans/what I have to brag, I'm just saying that it's what works for me.

There are a couple of really rare figures of her that I know exist, but do not own. Like, rare enough that I couldn't really find decent photos of them now. I recall seeing one on ebay way back when I had first seen her series, but not buying it because I lacked the skills to paint it.

Granted, I do not own any of her merchandise, but I've always thought it would be the opposite for me if I did; that each piece would be an like an extra layer of abstraction between her and I. Even if I had access to merchandise of her, I don't think I'd want to risk sullying this "direct" bond I have with her, for lack of a better way to phrase it. Don't get me wrong, I think it's awesome that some of you guys amass collections and have these physical shrines to your waifus, these are just my personal feelings.

This is something that I've always been grateful for; aside from a couple of lewdish pics, I've never ran across any of this stuff with Reki. Her series is very well known too, I just think it engenders a certain respect in people so that they don't feel compelled to create such things. Although I think some fanfics exist, that stuff is pretty easy to ignore.

I think I understand where you're coming from with the 'direct connection' thing, though. I felt that way before purchasing any merchandise of her, and I don't believe it has changed - I am still in love with her as a concept, not with any sort of physical representation of her. The figures and images are just a bonus.

I do own figures of her. Mostly because I love how it is made and being able to wake up to her while looking at her pretty eyes would make my day. It makes it easier for me to visualize her and talk to her, if I ever need support from her. This is my personal choice and I don't regret spending a cent for the figure(s) of my love.

Having merchandise isn't really a requirement to show love, which is pretty much understandable. Love isn't supposed to be measured in tangible ways, which is why I cringe at those who believe that buying and collecting the most merchandise of their waifu would equate to the amount of love put in their waifu, which is not true.

I do but mostly within the context of my fondness for collecting in general, instead of as a part of my love profession for her (which runs way deeper and find much more meaningful ways to manifest).

I own a daki of her but unfortunately there isn't another other merchandise of her.

Like others have said it's not about showing or proving my love to her, I don't think that's something that has anything to do with how much money you spend on her be it a lot or nothing at all, I just like seeing her without having to visualize her. It also helps deal with the fact that there's probably not going to be anything offical involving her made again. like others said it makes me feel closer to her and the idea of that makes me happier, I don't think it affects my love for her though because I started loving her before I bought it, so my love for her has also been more of a mental thing, if that makes sense.

I won a copy of the CD version of Narcissu Side 2nd when the English version came out (both the original and the translations, plus the OST). Other than that, no. Her merch is pretty rare to begin with, and I sure can't afford to import shit from Japan right now.

I recently got pic related. It's the first figure I've bought of her. I also have a plushie.

A lot of what I've found online is either very hard to come by, of questionable quality, or both. So when I came across that one on eBay, one of the figs of her I really wanted, I got it pretty much as soon as I saw it.

Whether you have plenty of merchandise of her or you have no merchandise of her because you can't afford it, if you really love her from the bottom of your heart, then you love her, it's as simple as that. I think you shouldn't take them seriously and pretty much ignore what they say, those idiots aren't the one to judge whether you seriously love her or not.

She doesn't have all that much, but I feel like I managed to buy everything that's worthwhile. Sure, I miss some prize figs and GKs, but those didn't interest me much.

Thing is, I've spent way more than what's financially responsible - no debt of course, but since I'm pretty poor, I often think about it. But now I own both of her official dakimakura covers, two of the three cute plushies, some figurines and a bunch of miscellaneous stuff.

Even though I had to give up quite a few other things to buy all these, I feel like they have brought me more happiness had I spent my money on something else.

Does anyone have a Dollfie Dream of their waifu? I know the are a little pricey, I got a really good deal on mine and turned it into my waifu but changing the hair and wig, and the face was already pretty perfect. It's really awesome to be able to pick out all sorts of clothes for her to wear, and It works as a physical representation of her in this realm for me.

Yeah pretty much if the made an official one of your waifu and you didn't get it when it was out, they increase greatly in price over time, which means you might have to drop a few grand to get one.
I think they are defiantly worth it if you can get one for a few hundered, but if it's thousands of dollars definitely not worth it.
As for those of you who mentioned customs, as I said that's what I did myself, and that is defiantly the way to go.

Well, I did it! I bought her figure at a con the other day! I'm so happy, she's sitting at my desk with me right now.

Managed to get my hands on some stuff a while ago, which arrived today.

Not pictured is a poster with her, Osaka and Tomo on it, since it's in a separate box and hasn't arrived yet.

There's just two keychains and another figure of her left to get, then I have pretty much everything of her, specifically. Not counting the ridiculously hard to find garage kits.

The official pictures for all of them look awful - across the entire company - but somebody shared a number of photographs of one they own of another character and it looked so much better. Since I started going to cons last year, I've only gotten one figure of her (pic related), albeit $10 less than what everyone else was selling at. But I have 2 animation cels of her in lieu of traditional merch.

Got a couple more Kagura things recently.

The two figures in the middle and the right were together in an eBay auction of the whole AzuDai trading figure set, with the uniform keychain thrown in. It did mean I ended up with a second tanktop fig, but my new one is slightly better than my old one, so that's a plus. The swimsuit keychain was from a separate auction.

The new daki cover was another commission, which I'm only using when I know no one else will see it, since it's much more lewd than my previous one.

Some items related to my waifu are being released recently. It's mostly things like towels and else, but I don't know if I should take them. I would like to take some (I have rnough money to afford it that's not a problem), but I'm moving in like one month I don't know where yet, si I don't know if I'll have time to receive the items and I fear that they'll be sold out after I moved.

Most proxy sites will keep your items in storage for a varying amount of time - so you can buy the items and let the proxy site hold onto them for a good amount of time. I don't know if any will allow you pay extra to extend that time. It might depend when it's released but EMS shipping is pretty fast, but I can understand not wanting to risk it. I'm guessing asking somebody else to take the package isn't an option.

I'm glad I managed to find that cushion, it's been a bit difficult to track down. Much cheaper than I thought it'd be, but also a tad smaller.
The postcards I'd never seen before until I stumbled upon them on ebay. They were pretty cheap too, so I figured I'd snap them up.
The cel was definitely the most expensive, but well worth it. It came with several sketches and what looks like a mapping of the scene itself frame by frame, which isn't in the picture here.

I'll get the cel framed like my previous one >>18147, and I might put the postcards together in their own frame as well.

I own a figure, pin, Bandai strap figure, custom pillow plushie and plush of Satsuki. I just got the plush this past week; it was a very happy moment.

Unfortunately, the only items available of mine are garage kits that came out a few years back that are now impossible to get. I check auction sites, but haven't really found anything other than a lewd figure that I don't particularly like.

Someday I may make something of my own, using what I've learned in manufacturing. Perhaps a machined hand of stainless steel that I could clasp in my own hand of flesh would be more meaningful.

I don't plan on buying every single thing related to his show in existence like some people, most of it is dollar store quality with recycled assets or board games in a language I don't understand. It's not worth the money. The only other thing I plan to buy is his show on blu-ray if that ever comes out, and that'll be about it.

I have 3 figures(image is my favorite), some pins, a button and some stickers. I really wish there was some higher quality merchandise available, but I'm happy I have as much as I do.

This keychain arrived today. Got it off yahoo.jp with a proxy couple months back.

I don't have any, and to my knowledge the only thing I could get without going custom/commission is her source manga in hard copy which I'd rather not do for a few reasons. I kind of like it this way actually. It forces me even more to seek out things that remind me of her in some way rather than simply buying figs or whatnot (not intended as a jab there). Personally I find that cooking something from her people's cuisine for dinner, or learning to speak her native tongue and hell, just imagining her with me are far more important ways of expressing my devotion to her than paper and plastic, even if she did have merch. I've been working on a portrait of us for a few months now. It's slow going but I'm trying really hard to get it right since my drawing skills aren't great. So far, not so bad though, so maybe I'll have a nice custom picture framed for my bedside sometime soon if that counts as merch.

I can certainly relate to the bit about only having your imagination and panels. My lady love gets very little fan art, and most of it doesn't meet my obscenely high standards for saving. So basically a good 90% at least of my folder is manga crops. I don't mind it too much though, it's consistent at least so I have a very good idea of how she looks in my mind's eye that isn't confused by different art styles.

I do not own any merchandise, though I do have plans to purchase a daki, but that's my limit. The way I see it, figurines, plushes, &c. are not a necessity to love, and, sometimes, rather than being a representation of ones devotion, they could also serve the adverse purpose of steering one's devotion away from personal love into the realm of idolatry. In other words, surrounding one's self with such things may make their waifu more of a plastic figure than a living concept. While she is superior and clearly distinct from all 3DPD, I personally feel most comfortable limiting myself to pictures and a daki.

That's just me, though. When it comes to relationships such as these, varying individual approaches are to be expected.
