I went to Japan and made a lot of pictures I want to dump some where. Feel free to dump your own pictures or images you found some where on the internet.
All my photos are shot with a Canon EOS M10 with a 15-45mm or an 55-200mm lens. You can see the dates in the file name.
Smaller shrine in Uji.
Some one might recognise this one. It's seen in Hibike Euphonium.
Sadly some of my images are >7MB and I can't post them here.
>>6679 Looks so rustic and comfy. >>6680 Is that hare a deity?
Took this one near Inari. Some times it can be nice not to take the main path.
How are you supposed to drive on roads like that. There where cars parking there and I have no idea how the got there the roads seemed smaller than the car.
This is where I shot this >>6681 picture. You might remember it from the biggest Yuri bait scene in history.
This forest is right next to Inari.
JR Nara-Line train driving trough the Keihan Uji station.
JR Uji station because having one Uji station wouldn't be confusing enough.
Remember that scene form basically every anime where a cut girl gets attacked by a deer on there trip to Kyoto? They went to Nara, a town near Kyoto, that used the be the capital long long ago.
Every anime is a lie. Kiyomizu-dera is having renovations since 2008 and till 2020. All those anime girls visiting it should have seen construction sides.
Still nice though. I have to visit it again in 2020/2021.
Place from the Tamako Market film. Right next to the market from Tamako Market. Forgot to make pictures from the market. Tamakos house doesn't exist though.
Uji at night.
Uji bridge.
More Uji at night. Maybe it's already another town. Don't know.
You might recognise this school.
I feel like I'm going to posts more than 100 pics today. rip tohno-chan server.
This was definitely one of my favourite places. I have to visit it again.
All of this is made by fans. Nothing of this is official, Kyoani even denied that the K-ON school is based on this school but it's obvious.
I feel like I should have made a lot more pictures.
There where even cosplayers that cosplayed as the main 4 characters (no Azusa) but I was to autistic to ask them if I could make a picture of them.
Best girl
This shop was right next to the trainstation. There where some other K-On themed shops too like one that soled school uniforms.
I'm not even through the fist half of my trip. This is Osaka btw.
Osaka castle
Best anime studio.
Right next to Kanda Myoujin in Akihabara.
Some one was autistic enough to actually draw this. The backside was prepainted.
So many.
You might recognise this place from Love Live.
Sakura
Secret entrance to a Touhou store. Also Kebab. (Doesn't taste a good as real German Kebab.)
This is the actual staircase you use to get to the different shops.
Tora no ana. Best store for H doujinshi.
Random Akiba pic. The big building in the centre is the Volks shop that has tons of used figurines. The prices are kinda high though.
"maid road" There are a lot of maids that make advertisement for different maid cafe.
Yes those Mario Cart guy are there every day. You can rent those carts and costumes somewhere.
Last pic for now. Thanks for increasing the file size limit.
>>6731 Do they also sell turtle shells you can throw at each other?
>>6732 >Last pic for now. >47 days ago W-where is the rest?! I was actually kinda skeptical going to anime related places, but it looks fun! Cherry blossom in full bloom are so beautiful, you really picked the right time to visit. Did you travel alone?
>>6752 I'm not going to post all pictures. A lot of them are very similar. Like the same thing from slightly different angle. I don't have much time at the moment but I think I'll add some more picutes soon. This one is the first picture of Japan I made. I already have so much thinks I want to do the next time I go there. I haven't seen much of Tokyo outside of Akiba at all. And there are also some nice places in Kyoto that I didn't visit.
I also went to Japan during 3 weeks, Tokyo felt soulless compared to the countryside. I'll start with pictures from Kyoto. Those were taken with a Samsung ST72 so I'll focus on the that came out fairly. This shot was taken near the house I stayed in.
Advert for Kanto-based rail companies.
Picture of a train taken while waiting fot my departure towards Kurama.
Last car of the train heading towards Kurama.
Some pictures taken during the ride.
Sculpture displayed just outside Kurama Station.
Heading towards Kurama onsen.
The white lines are a replacement for sidewalks, which leave you with a very narrow space. I was slightly worried when a bus came accross.
This path was probably heading towards a shrine.
The place wasn't packed at this hour luckily for me.
The food sure was something else, I've never had anything this fresh back home. No matter the status of the establishment, I don't remember having had any issue with the food. Not to mention that green tea was always on the house. It's a shame they don't have a tipping policy.
>>6830 Having green tea being free isn't that special. In the southern US, establishments frequently have free sweet tea with your meal. At least for small locally owned places.
>>6831 As you said it all depends from where you originate, never could hope for more than a glass of tap water prior to my travel. The following dump will focus on a stroll around Ueno in Tokyo .
Walking around in this weather felt like taking a bath fully clothed.
For the sake of the camera, I decided to enter a restaurant for an hour or so. Again, the food was excellent.
Walking towards Ueno Park.
Tomb of Shogitai Warriors.
Didn't get to visit the Okawara Kunio Exhibition.
Close-up shot of >>6852.
I almost had the place to myself at that point.
Closer view of the shrine.
Contemplating this now, I make more sense of the fox in Persona 4.
Heading towards an exit.
That's all for now. I might do a another dump covering the pulling-cart festival in Kishiwada at a later date.
