I just read the first volume of Pupa (picrelated), which so far is very good despite the characters having very exaggerated personalities, which robs it of the believability that Saya no Uta has going for it.
Unfortunately, I can't seem to find raws for anything beyond vol. #1 of this manga, so I've had to put this series on hold for now.
Some guy on 4chan's /a/ posted a few chapters of Donyatsu in English. Seems pretty fun, but unfortunately I couldn't find decent raws for it via a quick google search, and I can't use Share or PD at the moment due to network issues. They also don't have this series on YesAsia, which means I'd have to go through Amazon.co.jp, who charge exorbitant sums for shipping to Europe.
I started reading Claymore a few days ago and got really into it, blasting through 3 volumes per day. I actually found it hard to stop. I'm usually not into stories that revolve around fighting, but maybe it's because of nostalgia, seeing how Claymore was one of the first animes I saw back in the day as a teenager, with English subtitles. And I still remember how unsatisfying and open the ending was, yet the sequel never came (the manga is still ongoing, now at chapter 130 or something). I think I'll actually buy the volumes from volume #10 onwards, because a big part of what draws me into the series is the art, which looks better on paper, especially seeing how for most of the volumes I only have shitty scans where two-page artworks are not merged into a single image file. I don't have money to spare right now though, so this will have to wait until next year.
I also just read the first volume of Showa Vampire (昭和不老不死伝説 バンパイア). Not sure if I'll continue with this. The premise is great, the plot is decent enough, but the shitty art (in a manga with sex scenes in every second chapter!) and lack of furigana combine to make it a less enjoyable experience for me than it could be.
Just loaded up my phone with all volumes of Stray Little Devil, Death Note and Code Geass: Nightmare of Nunnally, all of which are easy-to-read shonen manga that I started reading back when I began learning Japanese, but never got around to finishing. In fact, I actually imported all 13 volumes of Death Note back then, but had to discard half of them unread when I moved out of my old flat and had a strict limit on how much stuff I could take with me. I suppose I'll be busy with these for the next couple of weeks, although I'm not sure if I'll actually finish Nunnally.
