just had a very quick listen to the first few that came up on SC, do you gameboy? I quite liked what i heard though. i'm kind of more partial to hardcore or chill break-y or cutelolisample stuff.
>> No. 2369 [Edit]

Yup, these were made on my two Gameboy DMGs with LSDj. Here's a video on YT of me showing them off: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJ61NqqK2uc

If you like (happy) hardcore-ish chips check out Eat My Chips, Expedition and Summer Wars. Been meaning to try some chip break but no motivation for that yet.

ah i'm so blind i didn't even see your soundcloud tags. that's really cool, have you released anything cohesive like an EP/album that sort thing?
>> No. 2372 [Edit]

Not yet but maybe next month.

This one's poking a bit of fun at myself.
There's this genre called Witch House. While thinking upon that, one thing led to another and I found myself with Wizard House. Imagine house music inspired by the hikki, "wizard" lifestyle. Also used copious amounts of weird characters in the title, like witch house artists. This one turned out to be some sort of spooky tune, though in the future I intend to make sadder melodies if I feel like it (this one was kind of improvised), and it has to be a chiptune of course, to fit the whole theme. Luckily, my soundcloud avatar also fits the song well enough.
Wizard house, there you go.

Not chiptunes.

EP with some of the chiptunes I've made, next month I'll release another.
>> No. 2398 [Edit]

Album. Chips are more focused on melody this time.

My two modded DMGs, now synced to run 2xLSDJ. That means twice the amount of channels per song. I'd been struggling to find a decent setup for composing but solved that recently. I'll hook up earbuds to one, headphones to the other, and wear both at the same time. Doing that lets me write and listen to the output of both Game Boys at the same time in stereo (the loud speaker is mono) without sending into a mixer, which benefits the workflow.

Hey, my brother used to do that.

Audio - (1.31MB - 128 kbps - 44.1 kHz ) Length: 1:26

Two doodles with Kontakt instruments.

First is a thing from a few months back. Maybe the right hand should be louder here.

Audio - (2.73MB - 320 kbps - 44.1 kHz ) Length: 1:12

And recently this. Left hand's dynamics are a bit too constant. I wish there was an option where you could, like, randomize the volume automatically, on a given interval (like 85-90). That would go a long way towards making computer-sequenced pianos more human-like. As it stands, I'll have to randomize it manually, which is ok. Just that feature would be cool.

Audio - (6.28MB - 192 kbps - 44.1 kHz , oceanlab - ashes (remix).mp3 ) Length: 4:35

Featuring Megurine Luka.

Across the eerie waters,
Misty covered glass I spied
A sad procession, snaking down
The dry and deadly trail.
And as my telescopic eye
Focused on the marching line,
It settled on the fallen crown,
Now covered with a veil.

The heavy weight of mourning
Drew each head to face the ground.
Muscles tight on bearers' arms
Each body cold and frail.
And through the muslin mist
The beating drums, the only sound.
Twenty boats out in the bay
All ready to set sail.

Audio Azureflux - Ave Maria (Celtic Woman Cover) - (6.32MB - 320 kbps - 44.1 kHz , ave maria (celtic woman cover).mp3 ) Length: 2:46

Hail Mary my brohnos.
Featuring Maika (Vocaloid).

Ave Maria,
Gratia plena, dominus tecum.
Benedicta tu in mulieribus,
Et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Jesus.
Sancta Maria, sancta Maria, Maria,
Ora pro nobis, nobis peccatoribus,
Nunc et in hora, in hora mortis nostrae.
Amen, amen.

More chips.

Not sure if I should post this, I was in the mood for house but I doubt anybody in here would be. Plus, I can't mix.

It's been one of my dreams to make Vocaloid chiptunes for ages. However, I refuse to pirate Vocaloid, and I can't afford the software.
>> No. 2486 [Edit]
Same, but I just can't seem to put Vocaloid and chiptune together. Always one or the other, I'm hoping someday it will happen (and the result would be like Toriena).

I have Maika, Avanna and Luka. If you'd like, compose a melody and lyrics, then send it to me and I'll render the vocals out.
>> No. 2487 [Edit]

Thanks, but it's alright. I'd like to craft the vocals myself, that way I can quickly change something if I want to. Plus, I'm getting some money soon for doing some odd jobs for my family, so I'm planning to buy Miku with it.
>> No. 2488 [Edit]
Sweet, let me listen when you're done.
>> No. 2489 [Edit]

of course. At the moment I'm messing with UTAUloids, since they're free and function similarly to Vocaloid, so I know how to compose lyrics before I drop money on software. They're pretty cool actually
>> No. 2500 [Edit]
Man, this actually sounds pretty cool. Is it original or maybe a cover or a remix?

Have you made your own or do you rather use other people's utaus?
>> No. 2501 [Edit]

I use others, mostly Momone Momo. I don't really know how I'd make my own. Wouldn't I need voice samples?
>> No. 2502 [Edit]
Remix of OceanLab - Ashes.
>> No. 2503 [Edit]
Yeah, you'd need to record voice samples for each syllable and then configure them in utau... It's quite a work. There are tons of tutorials out there if you wanna take a deeper look to it.

Ow, just realized it was in the filename; however, assuming you remixed it yourself, it's really nice.
>> No. 2504 [Edit]

If my voice were good enough to do that, I'd have already recorded vocals for my own songs.
>> No. 2505 [Edit]
New drum and bass jam: https://soundcloud.com/azureflux/brain-in-a-jar-feat-otto-mozer

Featuring a new vocal synth called chipspeech with the Otto Mozer character. Needlessly said, it's not pronounciation friendly, but it does sound pretty cool otherwise.
