This is why I don't like mentioning that I'm an atheist anymore. It used to indicate a simple lack of a belief(s) before you edgy fuckers turned it into a bitter, preachy religion of its own.

Nowadays you can't say "oh my God" in a sentence anymore without some halfwit jumping down your throat for it, assuming you're a hardcore Bible-toting Christian, and proudly declaring that the religious beliefs you don't even have are wrong. Meanwhile, most people understand fully well already that snakes can't talk, and don't feel the need to pass it around as some kind of profound wisdom.

That's agnosticism. Atheism was always about people who somehow thought they were better than other people while doing pretty much the same thing.
