Since I don't see a thread for one, video game soundtracks thread. First: the final battle theme from Ys 6. This is a very electronic song.
A dark jazzy piece from Castlevania 4.
Guitar music as is characteristic of the Guilty Gear series.
Aggressive prog-rock courtesy of Contra 4.
Pretty much every soundtrack coming out of the AT series is fantastic.
Same goes for the Shin Megami Tensei games. I didn't like Devil Summoner that much, but it has great music.
>>951 Yeah, same with the Atelier games (Iris/Rorona), same developer I think.
It's mouldy mom, isn't it?
Behold!
This version of Decide In The Eyes is pretty awesome. Fyeah rushing through loops at the speed of light.
.
Beautiful.
This thing is about to go down!
The entirety of this soundtrack is amazing.
My favorite soundtrack from my favorite game.
This song is even more touching than the previous one.
Battlefield fanboy.
Katamari has one the best soundtracks for a game, not even joking.
So nostalgic.
^
I could be here all day posting amazing video game songs. So I'll just post one last one after this here.
Vode An
>>953 Yeah, they're both made by Gust. They must have the same composers too, at least for the instrumental stuff.
Neotokyo had a great soundtrack.
DoRe - Voice
From the shmup DoDonPachi. A little bit electronic, a little bit symphonic, a little bit poppy -- this is a "style" that seems pretty unique to VGM.
The Dragon Quest Symphonic Suites are always so good.
Eye of the Beholder 2 - The Legend of Darkmoon intro.
A nice ambient song from Mirror's Edge
Arise, thread! Best song in Makai Kingdom and one of the best in an NIS game.
DKC - Gang Plank Galleon
!!!!!
You may compare this remix with the original available at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fvha_2hAzq0
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49rw1E3unMA I don't care for most of the Final Fantasy series at all, and FF13-2 isn't going to change my mind about that. But it does have great soundtracks.
One of my favourite games on the PS2.
Technically?
