3785 No. 3785 [Edit]
Azuma Hideo passed away on 13 October 2019, at 69. The family kept the news from fans until today, when they released a note on Azuma's official Twitter account https://twitter.com/azuma_hideo/status/1186149786287632385. I don't know what else to do to pay respects to my favorite manga artist other than posting a thread here so people remember him/look him up, at least for a little while. I never felt so close to someone through an work of art as did with Mr. Azuma's manga. He was an imaginative, funny and talented artist and his stuff always managed to make me cry, laugh and be weirded out in the best way possible. I'll miss him. For the past few years I had been following him on Twitter and it was a joy to go to that website and find out he had uploaded a sketch, drawing or anything else he wanted to talk/post about. I was cogitating on breaking the rules and posting a 3D picture of him (giving the importance of Mr. Azuma, I'm sure the admin would understand) however I realized the artist would prefer to see himself in his manga form, doing what he loved to do. Pushing melancholy away by imagining funny things and cute girls, while enjoying a cigarette. Uploaded is a page from うつうつひでお日記.

吾妻ひでお先生、本当にありがとうございました。

Are there any good collections of his works?
>> No. 3788 [Edit]
This was very sad to see. I feel similar in a lot of ways, and was a very relatable artist especially to those of us with lolicon tendencies. We owe a lot to him for making 2D what it is today.

I have uploaded a zip of probably his most famous work, Disappearance Diary, an award winning work and one probably the most relatable to Brohnos.
A lot of his work is not translated, regrettably, but they are good fun if you are japanese literate, and they are shojo so it doesn't take much to understand if you can hunt down the raws.
I have no ideas if raws for his serials exist online.

Merry Christmas guys. First Christmas without Mr. Azuma. I collected a bunch of his works I've found over the years and put into a single zip file, if anyone is interested. Consider it a Christmas present I guess. They're all in the original Japanese. I hope you enjoy it.

What's the password for the archive?

God I'm such a fucking idiot anon, I'm sorry. In my drunk stupor I didn't realize I was adding a password to it and worse, I can't seem to remember the damn thing at all. If you're willing to download it a second time, here's a zip file without a password. Again I'm terribly sorry to make you waste your time. Just made this one and it's guaranteed to work.

It's fine, actually very nice of you to have the original raws as sometimes those can be oddly difficult to find, at least in good quality.

Looks like it's time to stop drinking yourself into a stupor. It doesn't just harm your own body, it affects those around you.

i dont know if op is still here but whatever
azumas health was already in shambles in 2010, this note is a response to a translator who wanted to interview him. In the note hideo explains that his communication skills are pretty much ruined at this point and that he can no longer give interviews because of this.

I'm here. Yeah it was bad for a long time, he would post his visits to the hospital fairly often on Twitter and there were lots of it. There's also an interview on Youtube where you can see he was in a pretty delicate condition for the past many years.
The embed link giving me an error for some reason, here's the link to said interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uweAsGDcea0

Guys I'm deactivating this link in favour of a much better collection I've put together. I'm confident this is the biggest, most complete collection of Mr. Azuma's works there's online. If it got scanned and shared at one point it's probably here. There's some really great gems in this zip, I hope you enjoy it.

Looking at the date of that OP pic, it's fun to see someone who is a master and pioneer fawning over other people's stuff, despite it being a work done after he became well-established. Really brings him close, especially because many of us may have gushing over Sakura as kids nearly at the same time he drew that.

Remember Mr. Azuma on this day. This poster came out in a ComiComi magazine, released in Feb. 1985. The whole issue is dedicated to Mr. Azuma (an 吾妻ひでおスペシャル edition). The full mag is available on >>3809.

Megaupload has it out for loli, so I wouldn't be suprised if that also gets removed. You should make a torrent. I tried, but couldn't get it to work.

I see what I can do. In the meantime, if the link goes under, just let me know and I'll upload somewhere else.
