They could've still made a decent game if they tried just a little. They could've cooperated with the zoos adding the geotracking capability akin to Pokemon Go, making it into the actual "go see the animals" franchise. That way all this gacha shit items for "luring" friends out could have made some sense at least. But why bother putting effort if the plebs with no taste will support you anyway?
Indeed they did and by lowering the bar so much it has come to the PuzzleGokko atrocity being releazed next, which I'm sure you've heard of. This is what happens when you support low-effort products: you get more of it.

I think the art is kinda cute, and with all due respect to Mine, a lot of his designs are very hit or miss. The sloths for example look like a fresh bowel of diarrhea soup.
