Do you have any 'unpopular' opinions that most other Touhou players seem to disagree with you on? For example: - I enjoyed Touhou 14 and 15 more than 12 and 13. - I think Perfect Cherry Blossom is the easiest of the Windows Touhou games. - I prefer Plastic Mind over Alice's other boss themes.
Do you play on hard or lunatic? Compare the 4th stages on easy/normal and you'll see PCB requires forward thinking and pattern knowledge, and IN really doesn't. Most Touhou players are pretty bad, myself included, so when they think of difficulty they think of how hard a game's story is to unlock, which boils down to how hard easy or normal are.
-There is nothing wrong with Highly Responsive to Prayars as a game, and is a direct improvement to Arkanoid. Most people are simply put off by the fact that it isn't a shoot'em up. -Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom is the best mainline game we've had since Subterranean Animism. -Vessel of Stars ~ Casket of Stars has far better composition than Love-Coloured Master Spark, and is by and far a better theme. /shit opinions.

>>2084 This is an incredibly late response, but yes, I typically do play on Hard or Lunatic. That might skew my perspective on easier difficulties. I did notice when I was watching someone play PCB on Easy that its Easy mode wasn't much different from Normal mode (that is to say, PCB does have a "difficult Easy")- but I'd still say that IN's Normal is a tad harder than PCB's Normal from my point of view, simply because PCB lacks any sort of gimmicks and the cards can generally be dodged on reflexes alone.
-EoSD is not as hard as people say it is. You can bomb spam 1-cc by simply perfect-running first 3 stages, you have enough bombs for the rest of the game in that case. I find that part 3rd easiest after IN and PCB. -I don't approve of the whole Mima hype. I think the character is done for and not needed to be brought back.

I believe that Lily Black is just Lily white in a black outfit, may other fans think they're different fairies all together, but I think they were meant to be the same one all along.
I believe Clown Piece to be the worst Touhou, probably the only one I actually hate. I think that world/lore/character wise, the games are not as important as the literature.

Despite it being a pain in the ass to beat and honestly not too greatly made, Highly Responsive to Prayers is one of the funnest touhou games
