2993 No. 2993 [Edit]
I'm making this thread specifically to recommend a WN turned LN called 'Shinigami wo Tabeta Shoujo', but since making a thread dedicated to one series that consists of two volumes feels a bit excessive and I've been reading a bunch of them lately let's just have a catch-all thread.

So anyway, about the series in question. It's kinda hard to say a lot about it before spoiling things. For those who don't mind...

It's about a teenage girl and her 'unintended' military career. She holds a deep grudge against a rebel army that plundered and burned down her village. The setting may seem like it's some fairy tale with a Mary Sue who fights for justice but the series is pretty dark, and the protagonist is a complete anti hero. According to her own words, she doesn't care about anything else as long as she can massacre the rebels and eat some food. She's pretty overpowered all around. The guys she sides with are arguably the 'bad guys' of the conflict but she couldn't care less.

I thought it was a nice read all around because the author makes clear from the very beginning that she's fighting a losing battle.

Here's a download link for those of you who might care:

The translations you'll find everywhere online are actually incomplete. This one doesn't include the epilogue side stories but at least it has all of ch 34 (the final chapter).

As for translation itself it's readable. Not great, but readable. This can be an issue with a lot of novel translations as people who aren't skilled in English, Japanese, or both are usually the ones translating them (for whatever reason).

The other thing I read and liked, although it's been a while, is 'I Reincarnated into an Otome Game as a Villainess With Only Destruction Flags…' (original title: 乙女ゲームの破滅フラグしかない悪役令嬢に転生してしまった…).

This one is completely unlike Shinigami wo Tabeta Shoujo. It's a reverse harem series and while that might not be something that a lot of people here would care for I'll recommend it anyway. It's a cute series and the protag is mega dense so the romance goes nowhere, because she never realizes anybody has feelings for her. The story is somewhat episodic and could be read out of order to some extent.

No DL this time cause I just read it online myself.

Any other completed and fully translated light novels that you would recommend?

Can't say I do, I'm not well versed in them. I have read Evil God Average after making the thread and though it seems to be well liked I found it rather boring.

Use this site to look up what's fully translated, maybe you'll find something for yourself:

For the time being I've had my fill of WNs and I'm back to reading 'normal' books (I'm midway through 'Starfish').

I was actually interested in reading this but hadn't yet invested the effort to find a download. Thanks for saving me the trouble.

Finding it wasn't particularly easy - and neither was even determining what's the status of the translation - so it's good to hear the download will be of use to someone.

Apparently the original translator was upset about something so he deleted the majority of the last chapter without leaving any note of that anywhere in the translation, making it look like the series ended differently than it did. The translations that are rehosted on numerous sites on the web are the same. Like I've mentioned before the download has the full chapter 34.

It's a pretty nice series, hope you'll enjoy it.
