1832 No. 1832 [Edit]
/fig/, I'm trying to get my hands on one of these, but I can't find one for less than 160 dollars.
Could anyone point me in a better direction?
Thanks.

Also, old-figures-for-less-than-160-dollars thread.

also yahoo.jp.
Damn near every figure will eventually show up on there sooner or latter.

Well... that was easy!

Any idea if they ship to Europe?

I've bought there from the shit-hole of the world so I bet they do. Don't worry, they're serious.

watch out for bootlegs of that figure.

Googling around, I can't find anything but negative reviews for Japtou. Are you sure they're serious enough?

I'm desperate enough for this figure to risk a little, and if one person truly thinks it's a good site, then that's good enough for me!

Also, it doesn't help that every other site I've been to are out of stock, yet this suspicious site isn't.

As said, I've bought from them internationally twice (WAVE figures: Asuka in plugsuit and the recently posted on this board Ika Musume DE LUXE). They were shipped the very next day I paid for them through Paypal; they arrived safely, even kind of faster than from other sites, brand new (unopened) and carefully packaged; they were both original, for all I can tell...

I'd like to know what those reviews are saying, though; because I find that general negative view totally unjustified: it is, indeed , one of the very few sites I know where you can find some discontinued figures (already being sold like uranium in auctions) for more reasonable prices... sometimes even the original release one.

However: do as you consider better

Hmmm, yeah, I've had a look at some of the other unauthentic bootleg copies, and they tend to be priced similarly.

I might just wait and hope for a rerelease around the time Redo or Final comes out.

I don't think I'd be able to look at a figure I know may be unauthentic without feeling like a total asshole.

Fair enough.

Just, I almost forgot: they keep an sister eBay account, under the name of fununiverse. There I bought a Kyo from Clannad, on Gym clothes (Kotobukiya/4-leaves). That time I was very nervous, since the warnings on the product's page weren't encouraging at all (not taking responsability for additional custom taxes and such); I think it also got delayed a bit, if I recall well; but in the end I got it at my door, without any problems...

Again, I was fully satisfied with it. Honestly, right now you got me REALLY worried so I went and rechecked my boxes. I own another 4-leaves figure (Kasugano Sora in swimsuit) and another WAVE Evangelion figure (Plugsuit Rei), both of them gotten from local proxys to Japan's stores. Since the figures all seem OK (and quite pretty), I compared all sections in the boxes and nothing points out to the ones I got form japtou/fununiverse being fakes (all sections, colors and quality in printing corresponded each other; Gainax and Key licence holograms were there)...

However, if you ever reconsider the option, you could also check the reviews and feedback on fununiverse as well (not everything is OK, indeed, but it's the very least); since most of the complaints around japtou/universe seem to be about products never arriving at all, I suspect that it really can be case sensitive, due to each countries custom policies or cases of stealing/corruption on postal services. If some of them goods do are forgeries, I think I can at least be positive of mines being not.

Best of luck.

How long did it take to ship? I'm getting nervous because I ordered something from them last week.

once they took just 1 day. another time, they took 5 days. it maybe depends on the amount of work they have atm.

My figure finally arrived today. No problems either.

Thanks for reporting! I did feel unease and responsability for sugesting it...
I'm glad it turned out well.
