Time for the 501st to reassemble!
I'm curious how stuff like this happens. It's the only instance of QUALITY I noticed in the first ep, but why is it even there? How hard is it to draw a line and two dots? Did they somehow miss it? With how long they held on this shot, it really stuck out.
>>34868 You mean like this? Yeah, that's much better.
>>34869 ....well shit.
>>34869 Two lines works in other anime.
At first I was wondering why her friend who isn't a witch isn't wearing a skirt or pants. The reasoning for others being so the main characters can quickly and easily hop into striker units. Then I remembered this is strike witches so who the hell cares! pantsu sugoi! Pantsu saikou!! banzai! banzai!!
>>34858 >Road to Berlin Is that a WW2 reference?
>>34925 Of course!
I'm disappointed they went with a tiger instead of a panzer. That might have made for a nice nod. Though I do wonder if it isn't still one all the same.
>>34925 The whole series has been a ww2 reference since the beginning, anon. The girls are even named after ww2 ace pilots.
>>34930 Don't forget this takes place in the 1940s!
This has been way less wild than other strike witches, I hope it heats up soon.
>>34934 It's just getting the group together. The main plot is going to be pushing to the core of the Neuroi invasion so I assume the finale will be out there.
Two ep in and I'm fucking loving this. This is just awesome!
Seriously.
I saw the movie but god, I can't remember a single damn thing about this girl.
>>34936 I think that this is the first time that the navy has managed not to be completely useless in the whole series.
>>34943 Woops, wrong place to put my sage. I shouldn't post just after waking up, sorry everyone.
>>34943 Yeah it's cool. Seems like they have a pretty good balance going on now. They're competent and can hold their own while being supportive of witches while not stealing the show from those witches. It's great. ...unlike these flag raising dumbasses.
I know it's a stressful situation, but firing off a gun in the middle of the room like that not only screams anger management, but gross irresponsibility. On the plus side, it's cute watching these guys try to pronounce foreign names like that.
Must be awkward seeing another girl give your senpai some sugar.
This whole ep I couldn't stop thinking about how fundamentally flawed that design is. The aerodynamics look right for a plane but not for a ground vehicle. I guess the very concept of downforce was still a ways off.
>>35079
>>35081 I figured it was based on a real design, just not sure if it's the best design.
stock time!
>>35094 I thought she was taking a shit for a second there.
this is great
>>35114 I loved that episode. Very heartfelt storyline, and it was so amusing to see a Sherman plow a field.
Everyone likes perrine!
>>35115 For something that started out feeling like a fetch quest, it went pretty nicely.
I hope we're not gonna be doing the monster of the week thing.
>>35119 Wasn't every single strike witches season like that, barring the last two or so episodes with the bigger badder monster?
>>35127 I think you're right.
The way Sanya says "fog" sure sounds a lot like "fuck".
Truly a fantastic ep.
>>35127 Yeah, and it's good. Monster of the week makes for entertaining scenarios.
This is why I love this series.
Sure took long enough.
Did they paint it red like blood to honor the blood god? Because this is some Warhammer level shit right here.
A Berlin wall... har har har...
That was a hell of a conclusion.
That's one moe trench run.
>>35257 I was very impressed that thing worked as well as it did. Non-witches have really gotten their shit together.
>>35280 I'm still struggling to understand why they throw waves of apparently useless conventional fighters at the enemies rather than just having witches replace fighter aircraft altogether. Or how and why conventional fighters actually CAN'T take them down considering they have the same, or better weaponry and the witches clearly only surpass conventional fighters in shield usage and some close quarters combat which personally I find tactically questionable.
>>35284 It's called jobbing. They're there to make the witches look cooler and the enemies tougher.
>>35284 While they use the same weapons, I always assumed the witches are able to enhance them in some way using their magic.
>>35285 I think that only works well when done in moderation. Too many jets/tanks make the humans look weak. Like ants swarming an enemy.
>>35285 I'm aware of the trope. But it hurts my intelligence to see a military just chucking away it's pilots in an obviously useless death rush against an enemy they apparently can't defeat and have not been able to defeat with the same pre-war fighters for five years. Then again this IS japan so maybe it doesn't seem that far fetched to them.
>>35284 It's pretty obvious Witches are in short supply.
>>35289 It's no wonder they would be, considering only girls can be witches, and only a select few from that, and even among those they can only practically serve as a witch for -10 years before they lose their power.
