Now this is an interesting take on the japanese fantasy genre.

The magical lolis are about what you would expect from a fantasy series, but the main character is an old man who lives with his granddaughter.

It looks like it will have a good mix of cutesy stuff and story.

So does the old man get a loli harem or something? I'm not sure I want to see that.

There is no harem.
It's a platonic relationship between him the girls, one of which is his granddaughter.

the girls get a bit /u/ with each other at times, but it doesn't go very far.

I love the OP to this anime.

As for the show itself, it seems alright, but I've only watched 4 episodes. The abilities of the enemies seem shitty compared to the Sana's. The fact she's practically a God with the only limit being her stamina and her ability to use it properly, still, it leaves her pretty OP. Even if she didn't even bother to use it in the 4th ep when she needed it and wasted her stamina, time, and chance on summoning Zouroku. It was obviously for the drama, but it certainly could've been done a lot better.

I did guess that Zouroku was going to be a no-nonsense old guy, which could make it a little different from other anime, but who knows if it'll actually make a difference.

The one thing I forgot to mention is that it seems like they already lazily kind of spoiled what happens to Sana when she gets older, at least, it looks like they did with what happened in the 4th episode. I choose to believe that they did and that this series will be more about the journey than the destination, which isn't a bad thing.

I get that impression as well. The series reminds me a lot of Mahoro.
Lots of absolutely adorable stuff. Also lots of not so adorable stuff, and it goes back and forth quite fast.

I'm not really a fan of the witch, but we'll see where they take the story from here.

Well, that's certainly a definitive end to the series.
It's a shame this sold so poorly.

A full episode for the twins would've been nice, but having them thrown away and replaced with a girl that Sana literally just met is quite a slap in the face.
