Looks like they're making a shitty remake of working! This after turning a good show into vomit the last season. Greedy Japs can't make good anime anymore, they only do formulaic crap and remakes.
Remake? you mean it's not like a spinoff or something?
>>27014 When the show first came out I didn't watch it because of the title, but eventually enough good words from respected imageboards convinced me I had been making a mistake in avoiding Working!!!1! I enjoyed the first couple seasons and this lead me to believe that the the subsequent season would be good. The Japs failed to live up to their end of the bargain so fuck em. They're on the shit list until I see new good anime.
I'm actually holding up hope for good remakes of anime that deserve it, like Key works. This announcement has given me hope that they'll unfuck recent Key adaptions by P.A. works and J.C. STAFF There's a lot more great manga and LNs that got terrible adaptions that deserve a remake as well. This can only be a good thing (hopefully). Anything you guys want to see remade, by the way?
>>27017 >Anything you guys want to see remade, by the way? It'd be nice if someone finally made a tsukihime anime. I feel like those KEY anime by PA need expansions rather than total remakes. Their biggest issues are the pacing and being packed into such small time frame, which explodes at the end. In the case of angel beats, I think it'd work fine if they released a second season and just had everything take place in between various ep of the first season. They never explored a lot of the side characters, and that end was very sudden. Essentially it'd be the same thing they did with that Air OVA. In the case of charlotte I think they only need to remake the ending, which in itself deserved a whole season.
>>27025 P.A. works does tend to rush things. I'm glad you brought up Angel Beats too seeing how most people think the anime was a masterpiece but to others like us it just felt rushed and didn't have enough time for character development. As for Tsukihime, isn't it getting an anime soon or is it just another KnK? UBW was pretty disappointing so I don't have much hope for it. Ufotable's animation is beautiful but it's so soulless and empty in its direction. There's no build up or investment, the scenes no matter how beautiful don't have much hype whatsoever. Let's hope it doesn't become another non-anime if it's true but Natsu is too busy with the next Saberface.
Whoa, racist.
>>27013 >Greedy Japs can't make good anime anymore, they only do formulaic crap and remakes. Why do you fucking cancerous pieces of fucking shit have to come and spew this fucking normalfag retard shit on even tiny boards like Tohno? Fucking fuck shitting christ i am fucking sick of this fucking shit everywhere.
>>27055 I wouldn't say they're necessarily wrong. The current season of anime for instance is packed full of squeals, remakes not as much but the point still stands I think. Furthermore anime can indeed be very formulaic, see http://tohno-chan.com/an/res/9259.html for proof. Although I don't think that being formulaic necessarily makes things bad, and pretty much every form of media is formulaic to some extent or another anyway. Hell, I don't even really mind squeals if they're squeals of things I loved in the first place, not unless they get all the life sucked out of them with too many squeals, but that's unlikely to happen with anything outside of shounen types of anime.
All works of fiction can be said to be formulaic. There's a reason hollywodo is running out of ideas and anime still isn't bad as them yet because there's always at least one or two amazing things once a year. The Japanese even try ridiculous and amusing experiments like what happened with Sekkou Boys. Where is that in the west? >>27048 Please don't start or bring this shit here. >>27055 I probably agree with this. >>27057 There is indeed nothing wrong with being formulaic, in the end it's all about the execution.
>>27060 >There's a reason hollywodo is running out of ideas I wonder if it's not more they can't afford to make mid-budget experimental films anymore because of piracy. The only people who go out and see films now are the masses who just want a blockbuster to kill time with. >Please don't start or bring this shit here. I'm just a little bit offended is all. >>27057 >I wouldn't say they're necessarily wrong. The current season 'Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us. There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.'
It's not a remake, it's a years-old alternative restaurant manga by the same mangaka. It's actually older than Working itself, which is probably why some characters are heavily reminiscent of those in Working. That said, I don't know why they'd make it into anime. It's like a media equivalent of buying the same jacket in different colours.Post edited on 6th Oct 2016, 6:20pm
>>27068 I like this Inami better. She feels a lot more dense and stupid.
>>27068 I don't know. Maybe this can be the next big thing in anime. Adaption of prototype works like Fate/Prototype or One Piece dawn and such. It might be fun.
Ghost girl is moe~
The Inami clone feels much less annoying than Inami, but it still bothers me that they can get away with that sort of thing. Inami should have been arrested and or fired for the way they acted countless times, Hana too if this is a regular occurrence.
I can't believe they went in the milf direction for her. I kept expecting them to reveal it wasn't actually her kid in the end. That takes some real balls on part of the creators, since something like that can easily scare away otaku.
>>27206 Ghost-chan is the cutest!
>>27208 Hana Feels much less like an Inami clone to me after watching more of this. Those violent outbursts seem to be uncommon as far as I can tell and she actually feel like one of the more realistic/normal characters. The whole acting cute and nice thing is played off as being strange and weird, but in reality it's normal to put on an act for customers. Not everyone can be 'on' all the time.
So, is Wagnaria a franchise? like McDonalds or denny's?
>>27248 If it wasn't on an anime, it would be totally believable.
>>27250 Of course I mean in universe.
>>27251 Yeah, it looks like a Denny's.
Two different ghost girls in the same series?
I don't normally condone violence on women or even in general, but in this case I would really like to see her get kidnapped by a gang of thugs who beat her up, rape her, torture her, mutilate her, and burn her to death in a fire.
This goes way past being tsundere.
I desperately want to watch her die a slow painful death.
She's supposed to be smart but says mindbogglingly retarded pretentious garbage like this? The guy works two jobs and lives in a state of poverty to pay off debt he didn't accumulate himself to pay off a horrible bitch that makes his life hell. You can't be fucking serious... Do they honestly expect anyone to feel sorry for that gigantic cunt? He should be licking her tears and laughing in her face, not feeling sorry for her just because she lost a living stress doll. What the literal fuck? I MEAN WHAT THE FUUUUCK?! If I could I would beat this woman over the head with her own baby to knock some sense into her. Then the guy discards the fucking lottery ticket out of some kind of guilt/paranoid fear for the debt collector! WHAT THE GOD DAMNFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK is wrong with these people?! It's like everyone in this anime is a moron or an asshole to some degree ...just like real life work places. Sayuri is cool though. Anyways, fuck this, dropped.
i like it
i was just searching ovas on nyaa and and saw some genshiken stuff. that reminded me of how greed and lack of creative abilities amongst the anime industry neurotypcals can take hold of a good series and ruin it real hard. if you're not familiar with genshiken it started out as an all male anime club with one member having a gf and the series being somewhat unique and particularly amusing & interesting to real otaku. after a few seasons it was an all female costume club anime with a focus on relationship drama and fanservice. working! was similar, it was uniquely good slapstick comedy in it's opening seasons and turned into just another soap opera by s3. makes me kind of happy for all the great animes which never got the 2nd or 3nd seasons they deserved. most of them would have been ultrashit. you thought endless 8 was crap? what if next season is a chunimoe crossover? suddenly endless eight is an all-time classic. what do you estimate the odds are that the moneymen at kyoani or any of the other big time anime conglomerates & subsidiaries could produce a worthy sequel to any of the unfinished works of art which pepper anime history?
I really liked Working OP1
>>27013 >they only do formulaic crap and remakes. It sure seems that way... 『るろうに剣心 -明治剣客浪漫譚-』 https://rurouni-kenshin.com https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlgKIkCZ4nQ
