You know, had someone told me ten years ago that one of my absolute favorite vocalists would end up being a software vocal synthesizer with cyan twintails, I'd have called them retarded and mumbled something about the insidious dehumanization of music. It's been a strange six years, and more than anything else Miku is proof to me that the future won't end up quite like anyone would've guessed. Once in a while, I'll reminisce and watch old videos like Po Pi Po, Melt, or Saihate, and then start clicking on random links and remembering all sorts of producers and videos, and just marvel at the breadth of the doujin music scene that she has given voice to.
So anyways, happy (belated!) birthday Miku!
