This is what happens when you let jj abrams direct an anime.

I'm amazed by the amount of gratuitous nudity in the first ep. Everyone was naked for at least half the run time.

I'll wait for the BD.

So I see Cthuko gave up on Nyaruko and decided to become a nudiest and help save the world.

You won't be disappointed by this anime! IF alll you're looking for is an amazing cast.
I like how they incorporated rarities into the anime as ranks, that was actually kinda clever. Aside from that there's relatively little to write home about.

Nudity aside the first ep was 'okay'. If nothing else the characters all seem very interesting.

Ange Vierge is a trading card game. You know, with physical cards and all. The app is probably some cheap multimedia cash-in to just spread around the name a bit and I doubt it even involves the actual card game mechanics.

Is she supposed to look perma pissed off? It's unusual to see her on screen not looking mad about something.

Ep2 had it's fair share of nudity too, but nowhere near as much as the first ep.

She really doesn't do the original character design justice.

Honestly after ep 1 I was fairly confident it won't really get uncensored as it just doesn't feel like one of those fanservice anime that do that... but considering they're doing it in like every ep I'm starting to think that the BDs will actually be unsencored.

The anime keeps alternating between silly drama segments that seem to be serious and self-aware comedy/parody bits that aren't serious at all. The former are mostly eyerollers, the latter are amusing at times.

It's a little hard to empathize with the main character's plight when their problem is that they're not a super special snow flake.

Well, this episode sure blew me out of the water. I was feeling pessimistic last week and I thought they'd beat around the bush - despite the fact that they made it pretty clear that Sofina's and Almaria's feelings are perfectly mutual - and leave us hanging. Then the episode kept getting more blatantly yuri with each minute and the only thing that was missing was Alma spitting it out, and sololy because she's a prude. She said it indirectly a number of times anyway - for example when she was talking about sucking blood she said she couldn't do it with Amane because she's like a sister for her, and couldn't do it with a stranger for obvious reasons, but when Sofina was brought up she just said 'she isn't worthy', which actually kinda implied she would've done it if she felt Sofina and her were on equal standing.

Gotta say this too, I really enjoy the short skits the military sisters get, especially since the BGM/theme they got going there is really good. Looking forward to the next one.
Surprisingly this is turning out to be one of my favorite shows this seasons. I expected nothing, got so much more.

Also Alma's expressions throughout this ep were spectacular.

I didn't expect this side of Amane, I thought she's more of a happy-go-lucky idiot. Not like being a happy-go-lucky idiot is that bad a thing.

Why do vampires have to be so god damn sexy all the time?!

I find it fascinating to see the bad guys have this side to them. I expected them to all be brainwashed into mindlessly evil Saturday morning grade villains at best. So it's interesting to see they retain a fair bit of personality. Almost makes me think the villains here aren't really 'that' bad... or at least wouldn't be if not for the whole worlds colliding thing.

Nice to see they towned down the gratuitous nudity, but only a little bit.

Aside from trying to kinda destroy the world they remain mostly the same, except with their desires amplified. If you look at past examples of their behavior they never said stuff they didn't mean, although most of the time they'd rather leave it unsaid to begin with. All it took to 'purify' Remiel was some pep talk.

So I see Milfeulle ditched the Galaxy Angels and took up a desk job.

I think it's a pretty decent concept. Lot of people think and feel things that they keep to themselfs, so it's interesting to see what happens when that all gets forced out to the surface.

This show really gives off some heavy strike witches vibes, and I'm loving it for that.

They aren't even trying to pretend they're not all lez. Awesome.

I really don't think they understand the concept of hostages. There's not really any point in taking hostages if you're gonna gun them all down anyway.

They didn't demand anything of anyone though. They simply dropped out of the sky and started shooting at them, kicked their asses in close quarters combat and tied them up, declared they were hostages and then decided to shoot them all anyway.

This show is actually quite good. Though, even having not looked at them, I can tell the normal people have given it a low rating. They're too quick to judge based on drawing style, I judged it for that when I first saw it but gave it a chance. Also I really like yuri.

Reminds me of Leviathan The Last Defence. Standard or below budget but with nice effort put into it. Also they are both mobile game adaps.

I agree, even if it does feel a tad low budget I think this was a lot better than what I expected. It's no where near as shallow as you would think something based on a card game would be. They do a pretty decent job of fleshing out the characters, giving them a bit of depth, and establishing a good dynamic between each of them. It's all wrapped up in a nice yuri friendly package too. Overall I was very surprised by this series.
