It got beaten to the punch by Hidamari, Yuyushiki, K-On, Kinmoza, GA, A Channel, Gochiusa, Hanayamata, Unhappy and probably some other series I'm forgetting but hey, better late than never!

Anyway, unlike Unhappy this one is a more conventional SoL, which should come as no surprise, seeing as it started being serialized long before cute girls doing cute things got popular enough to basically turn into its own genre. Bit early too judge but while the characters appear to be mostly based around their own gimmick - as is usually the case with CGDCT - they feel pretty distinctive and likable. Especially Youko, who's a lovable sperg.

So yeah, this one totally gets my seal of approval and will probably be my favorite Spring show.

I watched episode 1 and I didn't really like it. That being said I guess I should also say I didn't not like it.
I know that the slice of life moe shows don't always appeal to the entire moe audience, but to me it didn't seem like anything was happening. I know its slice of life, but everything that came up was either too mundane to interest me or too unrelatable for me to connect with the characters.

I thought the butler was funny I guess, and youko can be adorable from time to time. But I got an overall meh from it.

I guess all I can do is wait and see if I like episode 2

The production values were a lot higher than what I would have expected. The whole ojousama fallen from grace thing seems interesting, although I can't help but be reminded of Sharo from Gochuumon. Also, part of me wants to see where her relationship with that former butler might go.

I'm almost certainly reading far too into this, but it still bugs me all the same.
I don't see how her father's company going bankrupt could land them in poverty. Golden parachutes are a thing just for starters.
Secondly, why wouldn't this person be able to start another business or at least get a well paying job? Surly they must have experience and a lot of contacts if they were doing as well as they were. Third, people typically have money invested in multiple places. Are you gonna tell me this guy didn't have a single yen in stocks, savings, or anything? Forth, even if that was the case if they can afford a freaking butler surly they had some rather pricey shit they bought over the years at least. Houses, boats, cars, land, all of these things can be sold for money to live off of. Lastly, even if their parents was -that- stupid and irresponsible and truly did loose absolutely everything, why can't they work a normal minimum wage job like everyone else? Even if they did loose everything there's no good reason why her standard of living should now be any lower than the average and forced to eat bread crusts as their daily meals.
I know it's an comedic exaggeration for fun, but I just felt the need to point out how unlikely it is.

The obligatory beach episode couldn't've come at a better time; I'd just been thinking about how long it's been since I went to the seaside. In fact, I even dreamed about it last night.

I feel the last 2 or so eps weren't very good. The show started out strong but it feels like it lost sight of important things at some point. I think recent eps don't really do that good a job at fleshing out the characters nor showing their appeal. The proper focus got lost at some point.
Or maybe it's just me.
It's not like it's a contest of course but I felt like Anne Happy started out weak but it really picked up after that. Sansha Sanyou seems to be doing the opposite. This will be the first week when I'll look forward to new Anne Happy ep more than Sansha Sanyou.

It's still a very good show though! Pointing out how I feel it's gotten worse is mostly a result of how highly I rated it after the first ep or two.
