We're up to S4, it has a spin-off series and S5 got announced. All of this gets much less impressive when you realize this would translate to around ~5 OVAs (counting S5 even) but yeah, it's kinda nice to see it keep going.

I was actually thinking about it the other day when S5 got announced - the nonsensical style od comedy Teekyuu is known for reminds of Milky Holmes a bit. And /tc/ used to love Milky Holmes. Made me wonder how many people are following Teekyuu.

Either way, will watch S4, the spin-off and I'll look forward to S5.

I'd say it would be a whole lot more than that. The ep are short sure, but they each have enough content packed into them for an ep of four times the length if the pacing wasn't so fast.

thats why i don't watch this show, i just can't keep up.
i'd try to see if i could get my player to operate at 80% speed or whatever, but i'm already watching too much stuff to keep up with this season.

Well I meant time-wise. Content-wise there might be more than that, yeah, but that's just how Teekyuu rolls. I think that's a silly way to measure it anyway - it's about as arbitrary as measuring shows by how much animation they actually have when you're trying to calculate how many OVAs you'd make out of them.
If Teekyuu wasn't as fast paced as it is it'd lose its charm to begin with.

Not as crazy and over the top as I was expecting. Figured the character's limitless funds would free them up to do just about anything and maybe go on crazy adventures, but so far feels a bit tame. Kinda feels like the same old Teekyuu but with more of a Manzai style to it, at least until they brought out the other Teekyuu characters, then it really just felt like more Teekyuu.

It's a hell of a lot better than the last few installments in the hayate series at least.

It's a bit disappointing that even though Teekyuu and Takamiya are airing at the same time, the events in each one have no baring on the other. Feels like a missed opportunity to have different perspectives on the same events.
