There are indeed very different demographics in the anime community, and it's ignorant to say everyone that likes something are friends or soul mates and so on
just because they each like anime doesn't mean they're the same, but they can usually be divided into sub-categories.
I don't think I need get into what the differences are, after all, the image that started this talk says all that need be said.. although the left side is clearly biased and overly faltering, you rarely see either of the two groups look or act like that.

From a outside perspective it can seem like fans of anything are the same, people that don't play games much might think all gamers are the same, or film buffs ect.

But to say one part of the group is bad, it's kind of relitive.
Sure, I'm the last person that should be defending them, I can't stand them myself, they give the anime community a horrible image, but floor shitting NEETs masturbating to she males all day isn't exactly helping things either.

You might not realize this but it's a standard way of communication between immigrants all over the world (look at Spanglish, Poglish and what else is there). It's a natural development I saw myself as I studied abroad back in the day. After some time using certain words in foreign language is much more comfortable than using them in your own language.
