I don't get the hate the hate for this game. Yeah, it was linear and shorter compared to Super Metroid. But I'd consider those points to be in favor for Fusion and makes it more unique. Why do people think that every installment of a franchise has to be the same?

Sacrificing what made the franchise famous in the first place: exploration, non-linearity, total control of the character, emphasis on atmosphere, isolation and loneliness for what? A shallow story written for children?

I don't even consider that game Metroid. Should have named it "Phoenix Wright: Wacky Space Adventures".

Well if you're that enraged about Fusion, what's your thoughts on Hunters and Other M?

I'm just enraged about that one because I had high hopes after SM so I got disappointed. After Wind Waker, Fusion is the biggest disappointment of my life, without exaggerating.

Hunters and Other M? Mediocre and below mediocre mainstream games. Had no hopes for them in the first place, so I don't feel anything for them, really.

Why do people expect games to remain the exact same throughout time?

Fusion is a gameboy game, people don't want a handheld for heavy exploration and collecting, they want it for the quick and easy amusement. (at least, that's how it was. or so nintendo thought anyways)

Wind Waker was a good game, it's just different in a few ways from OoT and such (cel-shaded art, boating). nostalgia goggles OFF, i played and loved lttp, oos, oot, ww, minish cap, etc and i liked Wind Waker a lot.

Half the hate for games now is because they tried something new and isn't what "the game is meant to be".
If change was a bad thing, we'd still be in 2D side scrolling marios.

Such an enlightening post. Quality pure.

Never heard or read something like this.

Thanks, Surtic, for contributing.

And yeah, WW is different from OoT in a few ways like just half the dungeons and no overworld. Brilliant improvements.

I never once used the word "improvement" in my post and you can stop being a faggot about someone's opinion.
WW has half the dungeons, but it has a lot more exploration you can do then OoT (regardless of the fact the map is a good 80% water).
Reminds me of people hating TP because of the wolf.
