What is your family forcing you to do this year? What are you going to eat? Discuss here!

I don't like pumpkin pie, so I volunteered to bake a pumpkin cake to see if pumpkin-flavoured desserts can be good. It's nice, this is the first time I've had something to look forward to for a Thanksgiving. Can't wait to try it!

I'm going to be eating pumpkin pie for the first time tomorrow. I hope I like it!

I must have eaten at least ten of the things in this past month.

Nothing at the moment.

I have no idea, but it should more or less be the same as usual.

It's most likely going to be thrown together at the last moment since I'm not sure if any planning went into this, or if I just haven't been informed anything.

I'm going to see my mother and my grandmother and great uncle. Not really looking forward to it.

19 people.

ever since my grandma died our family gatherings havent been as big, and today it's just going to be me and 6 other family members. They're even the family members I don't even mind for the most part, so I am cautiously optimistic.

I had to do the dishes, but I don't mind. My grandma came over to have Thanksgiving with us; we'll be leaving soon to visit my great grandma and give her a portion of the meal. We had a typical Thanksgiving: sweet tea, turkey, cranberry sauce, macaroni, sweet potatoes, broccoli and cheese, stuffing, and mashed potatoes.

I'm glad I'm not from the US when I hear of thanksgiving. Family meetups at Christmas are horrible enough...

Result: not as good as the apple spice cake, but much better than pumpkin pie.

I'm from Englando so reading about these things is strange.

It was a small gathering like usual with my immediate family, my grandmother and one of my oldest sister's friends. It was pretty uneventful.

I played a Thanksgiving miniquest on Runescape and managed to earn a Turkey crest for my cape.

My brother kept trying to get me to drink or go out with him and when I kept saying no he got mad and told me to "do something fucking normal for once". other than that it was OK I guess

Oh, wow, Thanksgiving was weird for me. Late post:

I went to my "half step-dad's" family. It was just plain odd. There's a kid there who they say is going to be the next Justin Bieber, except he's around my age. Think he's a Senior in high school (age 18), but he might be out. He doesn't talk, because it would ruin his voice or some shit. Didn't say a single word the entire time we were there.
The step-dad's mother brought me downstairs (to the apartment she shares with her husband) to show me her Egyptian Siamese cat, which was fucking weird. A few other people were there, and they were all very nice to me, and I hated that - I don't deserve to have people be that nice. I was just very quiet in response, like always. It was funner than I thought it'd be (mind you, this was my first big social gathering in a good 6 months or so). I'd say I did quite good considering I wasn't high on stimulants (which would've been really funny, but disastrous) or listening to my music.

Food was delicious, though - Had the first stuffing I ever really liked, and butterscotch pie. The biscuits were bad, which irritated me, as I've always loved Thanksgiving biscuits.
