I rather avoid deleting threads when I can, for exactly this reason.
but there's a lot of crappy threads made.
like the other day someone made a thread about 3DPDs.
Some people just don't put much thought into the threads they make.

No not really. I believe the moderators are quite conscientious. I see what they write on IRC. I know they care and they don't take their decisions lightly. Sometimes my stuff gets deleted too but I'm okay with it cause I know I totally deserve it. Anyway OP you don't need to be hypervigilant if you don't post crap.

Threads only get deleted if enough people report them. The only invisible force here are the users.

It would be nice if there was a board when the deleted stuff got placed so we could check it out. I've had occasions on other moderated sites with when I've posted something that I thought was somewhat amusing, but the moderator didn't catch the joke and deleted it.
