This was a pretty nice first episode.

Can't believe they actually made S2. To make matters worse I bet they'll leave it on a cliff hanger because of the January movie. Sigh.

Why?

Feels real forced. As disappointing as S1 was I think it resolved everything that needed to get resolved.

Psycho Pass is not outstanding when it comes to character design and voices (as much as I like the Kana, it doesn't really fit Akane), but since it's Gen I believe he can deliver a story even after the original got resolved. He did it with Madoka after all.

>but since it's Gen I believe he can deliver a story even after the original got resolved.

I have yet to see him deliver anything worthwhile. Well, aside from Saya maybe. Psycho Pass S1 had medicore-high-schooler level of writing.

S2 is Ubukata Tow's story.

In the opening it says Gen is a supervisor, so if Ubukata is any good it might also fix >>21086
's problem with the writing.
The concept is good, but I can agree that the way it is being handled is a bit..

The new villain (?) is already more interesting than Makishima IMO.

Now I am angry.

S2 feels like a repeat of S1 thus far. A guy who has the ability to avoid Psycho-Pass scans is setting up brutal crimes with random accomplices for ideological motives? Say it ain't so!

And the Sibyl System. That's the whole setting and most of the premise of the show, but it seems so hilariously broken and dystopian that it's more like a shabby straw man set up for the sole purpose of having antagonists and protagonists alike take cheap shots at it, rather than something to be explored in a nice way.
>> No. 21184 [Edit]
"But how can someone avoid the eyes of Sibyl? It's unlike anything we've ever seen before!"
