bonjour koiaji patisserie sounds like such a rip off of yumeiro patissiere.

Looks like a damn weak season.

Watching 100%:
• selector spread Wixoss - looking forward to more Muugen Shoujo Madoka Magica: The Gathering.
• Gundam Build Fighters Try - Milf Fighters S1 was pretty good but it got several things wrong. But just by changing the formula - making them participate as a team of 3 rather than solo - they already took care of one of the biggest problems (Sei and Reiji simply had to keep winning in the first series which ended up getting dull after a while). Hopefully they'll use more different units instead of making 30 custom Zakus (not like there's anything wrong with Zakus).

50%:

• Cross Ange: Tenshi to Ryuu no Rondo - seemingly a spiritual successor to Valvrape as ep 1 allegedly has a rape scene. Might be a fun show to laugh at.
• World Trigger - looks like another'humanity fuck yeah!' show but since I haven't seen any of those lately I might give it a try.
• Madan no Ou to Vanadis - no idea why this made the 50% cut but, well, it's here.

>20%:

• Sora no Method - plot summary tells me nothing but it's an anime original so...
• Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru - same as above + Gokumi, which is usually a nice bonus.
• Garo: Honoo no Kokuin - the last time I tried watching some toku in anime form - Karas - didn't turn out so well. I have no idea why I expect this to be any better but I might give it a try.
• Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso - doesn't sound that interesting but it's a noitaminA series + I've heard the manga (which, despite the art, is a shonen series) is actually pretty worthwhile.
• Shirobako - sounded pretty good... and then I realized it's a PA Works series.
• Gundam: G no Reconguista - sounded pretty good... except it's directed by Tomino so it's very likely to be pure shit.

I'm definitely watching UBW, Tenchi Muyo, and Grisaia. I'll give twintails the 3-episode test. Nothing else really interests me so I think I'll use this season to catch up on my backlog.

This has been a pretty good year for mecha. A lot of new content, and some of it has actually turned out to be pretty good, or at the very least entertaining. G-Reco is likely to be my AOTY if it lives up to expectations.

You do realize it's directed by Tomino, right? He never made anything remotely good and he's guilty of commiting several anime which easily rank among Top 50 worst anime ever made. In fact just the other day somebody posted a vid making fun of Garzey's Wing on /ot/ and that's far from the worst Tomino has to offer.

Oh, I thought it's you who meant to say 'every season sucks lately'. Well, I guess you might be right, I don't pay enough attention/my memory isn't good enough to remember if somebody complains about this every time. As far as I'm concerned 2014 was a very good year, though.

Every season is the best season ever!

I figured I might as well post here since Akatsuki no Yona never got its own thread.

I finished it and it was actually fairly good. Great production values, good OST, (mostly) likeable characters. The story is kinda banal and cliche but it's not bad. I think it's one of 'better than sum of its parts' anime. Best shoujo and best reverse harem I've seen in ages... except the reverse harem part is downplayed so hard I wouldn't even classify this as a reverse harem series.

Good watch, enjoyed it quite a bit, I hope it'll sell well and get a sequel it deserves. Recommended.
