I heard someone describe this show as extremely safe, none threatening, and generic as hell with grade school levels of romance. So naturally I just had to see if it could live up to those kind of high expectations. I'm very glad to see so far that it has succeeded in doing exactly.

Even for a sol type of anime I'm surprised by how quite and slow this anime is. The keyword of this show seems to be mellow. I'd compare it to I don't moneyTari Tari, but the elephant in the room is giving me some dirty looks.

The whole romantic aspect becomes far pronounced beyond episode 1. I've watched up to episode 4, but the whole jealousy/pseudo-NTR type stuff is starting to get on my nerves.

Maybe I'm a bit dense or missed something, but why was everyone so defensive about the new guy? was the thing with the chickens meant to be foreshadowing to how xenophobic people in that group of friends would be?

freaking melodrama romance overload.
Only two ep in and they got some guy confessing to some girl who likes another guy while the girl who likes this guy is off watching in the bushes.
I got nothing against romance themed anime, but this is like like they're beating you over the head with it. At least give us a few ep to get to know the characters and how well they interact together before throwing this stuff out geez. The characters all act so strange too, second ep seems to explain that they're just being protective of the female lead character, but even then they're taking it a bit far, they act like the new kid is part of a biker gang or something.
