I don't know why so many people are looking forward to Space Dandy. Call me weeaboo Japanophile but I really don't like western influence in anime.

It wasn't a bad first episode.

I'll have to disappoint you but I gave up on /a/ right after Trolladora since I realized I spend more time adding stuff to my filter list than I do actually browsing the site. And no matter whether /a/ loves Kill la Kill or hates it it's garbage.

The second episode was bad but the next seems ''interesting''.

This show isn't that bad. I really like Space Dandy's style, too. Despite being an idiot that can't shoot anything even if his life depended on it and most likely can't fight either, he still has an air of cool that somehow still makes him slightly cool. Also, he has a pompadour, so that adds to his coolness.

Space Dandy was a fantastic interesting show that had me going throughout the season. If only there was at least one show similar in presentation to it every season.

Interesting show. Not even two years ago I talked to my friend about how Japan has completely given up on certain genres and we'll never see another Space Adventure series a la Outlaw Star. This isn't exactly what I had in mind but it's close enough I guess. And Space Opera/Real Robo is on the rise, too. Maybe Japan will go back to caring about scifi instead of random highscool setting #5903920.

I don't think I need to point it out since they even mentioned it in the broadcast but S2 is scheduled for July. I wonder if I should try watching English dub this time around to see how they changed things. Then again Japanese dub has a great cast.
Speaking of cast, a certain Hirano Aya voiced the coffee maker in ep 13. Been ages since I heard her. How the mighty have fallen.

I really like the alphabet (or maybe it's not an alphabet?) they use. I wonder if they decided to use it to make brodcasting things in USA and Japan (almost) simultaneously easier. I'd totally memorize it if it's an alphabet.
