Monsters, Inc. was a super cool anime.
>> No. 18270 [Edit]

List like that are great because they make some people realize what 'anime' actually means.
Moooom, it's not a cartoon, it's an anime!

How time flies
>> No. 18286 [Edit]
There really aren't any standouts for me in 2013. I love Shin Sekai Yori, which ended in the winter season of this year, but most of it aired in 2012 so it doesn't feel like a 2013 series. The memories I have of this year are of mild disappointment, with series I were pretty excited about like Minami-ke Tadaima, Tamayura, Watamote, and Kill la Kill. I guess if I had to pick a favorite for the year it would be Tamako Market, which is kinda concerning.

Better Tamako Market than the other end of the spectrum;

7 Animations that will leave you devastated.

I had trouble making this list. I mean some serious, hardcore nauseousness from looking up these movies. If Grave of the Fireflies is the first entry, I'm sure you'll understand...

Grave of the Fireflies (Hotaru no haka)
Devastation Rating: 7/10

When the Wind Blows
Devastation Rating: 7/10

Watership Down
Devastation Rating: 8/10

Devastation Rating: 8.5/10

Barefoot Gen (Hadashi no Gen)
Devastation Rating: 9.5/10

The Plague Dogs
Devastation Rating: 10/10

Fantastic Planet
Devastation Rating: ???/10

I don't get how people can take that furry ass wolf show seriously.
>> No. 18440 [Edit]
Where is Madoka: Homura's Rebellion on the list?
>> No. 18454 [Edit]
The Devil Overlord is a Part-timer is best of 2013.
>> No. 18486 [Edit]
Watamote was my favorite anime of the year. Actually, it's tied with Evangelion as my favorite anime of all time.
>> No. 18488 [Edit]
>t. 4chan pro

What's Watamote?
>> No. 18533 [Edit]
>t. cool person who doesn't use /a/

Anyone has other ideas?
