Very cute show and it's only Ep 01.

I can't put my finger on it, but Miniwa looks really familiar.

I kind of want to say she looks like a mixture of 60% Ayase (Negima!), 30% Konata(Lucky ☆ Star) and 10% SD version of Yuki Nagato(Haruhi-chan ONA)

‣ Funny, I was thinking how by now every show uses the 'no OP in the first ep, use the OP as the ED, no OP in the last ep, use the first OP as the ED' formula nowadays and just when I was sure ACKC will do the same...

‣ In many ways it's very similar to Nekogami. Since both are animated by AIC it's not particularly surprising.

‣ The Nekogami impression was so strong I actually confused MAKO with Fukuhara Kaori. I mean really, all ep long I thought it's MAKO and I checked just to make sure...

‣ A likeable (or at least not retarded) protag. A rarity.

‣ They should do some hot blooded air hockey manga. Using Hokuto no Ken artstyle. With catchphrases and stuff. Roses are red, violets are blue...

‣ When the teacher first opened her mouth I was really expecting Matsuki Miyu. Needless to say, whenever she said something I was disappointed.



Overall decent first ep, will follow most likely (well, I planned to since the beginning I guess).

Yeah, I thought it's kinda nice, too. And with protag being the way he is there won't be any beating around the bush and 'd-d-d-don't misunderstand!'. The girl isn't really honest with her feelings but that's cute so I'll let it slide.

This show also seems to be quite similar to Lucky Star, in terms of humour and characters/design.

Miniwa bears a resemblance to Konata, however although she is tsundere, it's in a different fashion than Kagami's.

Otonashi is like a male Minami.

Hime is like a combination of Tsukasa and Miyuki, personality wise.

Inui and Mayoi together make up Konata's character traits.

I am seconding the vote for cutest show of the season. It's so nice what Miniwa and Otonashi have between themselves. Never before have I witnessed such an intense game of air hockey; I was almost expecting an art shift.

Are moe teachers becoming a new thing? Because I would enjoy that greatly.

Moe teachers are nothing new.

This show has a lot of interesting stuff going on production-wise. Lots of nifty tricks to keep the show looking good despite not-so-high budget. Take notes Sunrise. Reminds me of Hidamari S1 in lots of aspects but I see why some people are sick of hearing SHAFT this SHAFT that so I won't go there.

What really caught my attention though is the BGM. It's totally un-anime-sque. Those are tracks you'd find in your average (not in the 'subpar average' meaning, though) VN. Interesting and creates and interesting chilling effect but in the end I'd preffer a livelier soundtrack.

Still a decent show, ep 2 was actually an improvement over ep 1, too.

I completely agree. One thing I noticed about this show from the beginning - despite the lower budget and generic ideas: it has style.

Man, this guy, this guy right here...

Wasn't crazy about it at first, but this show has grown on me.

Yup... this is why I watch anime...

Anyone notice how often they use this same type of shot from behind one or more of the characters to the side?
