popularity doesn't always necessarily mean good, and different people have different tastes.
That said, I think the outcomes will always be extremely predictable, it's not like we have a very large userbase here, should be easy for anyone keeping an eye on /an/ to guess how things will turn out.

I don't know about that, there was a lot of good stuff this season and people here have a wide variety of tastes. I don't remember anyone mentioning Chihayafuru at all on this board, but it was very enjoyable, but Natsume is pretty good as well. I've looked around the net a good number of times seeking "best amine" lists from discerning sources, I'd value one created by tohno-chan.
