Here you go OP. I find this link is always nice for discussing things by year.
>> No. 812
>Favorite male lead:
None. Seriously, there weren't any I particulary liked. I'd have to go with Souta from Working!! I guess.

>Favorite female lead:
Ika Musume

>Favorite male side character:
Would Izaya count? If not I'd probably go with Nurse from Arakawa.

>Favorite female side character:
Again, not sure if she's a side character but Yamada from Working!!.

>Favorite OST:
I won't answer since P&S OST hasn't been released yet and it definitely looks like OST of the year material.

>Favorite OP:
I'll have to go with Uragiri no Yuuyake from Durarara but I'd feel bad if I didn't mention Venus to Jesus from Arakawa... and sum wan wan from Working!! deserves some spotlight, too.

>Favorite ED:
Heart no Edge from Working!!. Jun Fukuyama, Daisuke Ono and Hiroshi Kamiya, HNNGGG. Maids Sanjou! (from Soredemo) is good, too.

>Favorite season:
Fall by far. I'm watching (or downloading to marathon them later) 9 shows and I'll just pick another one to reach double digits for the first time in my life (my previous best was 7 shows if I recall correctly). Over the course of 3 previous seasons I've seen 11 shows.

>Favorite debuting seiyuu:
Rieka Yazawa

>Biggest positive surprise:
Probably P&S, as I thought I'd be shit. I wasn't expecting much from Working! and I really enjoyed it, too.

>Biggest negative surprise:
Angel Beats

>Favorite show of the year:
Tatami Galaxy

>Short summary:
Despera where.
>> No. 813
I'd just like to state OP said "favorite", so I'm going full on subjective mode here.

>Favorite female lead:
Shana (Shakugan no Shana S)

>Favorite female side character:
Daichi (Ladies versus Butlers)
Runner Up: Manami (Ore no Imouto) & Erika (Heartcatch Precure)

>Favorite OST:
Fate/stay night Ulimited Blade Works
Runner up: K-On!! & Angel Beats

>Favorite OP:
K-on (OP 2: Utau Yo Miricle)
Runner Up: Kuragehime & Working! & MM!

>Favorite ED:
Kuragehime
Runner Up: Samurai Girls & Anyamaru Tantei (ED 1: poo) & MM!

>Favorite season:
Spring (Five Leaves, Tatami Galaxy, Angel Beats, Ichiban Ushiro no Dai Maou, Hakouki, K-ON!!, Working! Gundam Unicorn's first episode)

>Favorite debuting seiyuu:
Sasaki, Mikoi (Hercule, Milky holmes)
Runner up: Honda, Mariko (Kurimu Sakurano "Red", Seitokai no Ichizon)

>Biggest positive surprise:
Milky Holmes
Runner up: Black Rock Shooter

>Biggest negative surprise:
House of the Dead (Zombies IN THREE DEE)
Runner up: Dance in the Vampire Bund (I expected too much)

>Favorite show of the year:
K-ON!!
Runner up: Milky Holmes & HeartCatch

>Short summary:
This year we had 4 or 5 shows which I believe will become classics: Katanagatari, Heartcatch Precure, Tatami Galaxy, and K-ON!!. I also really enjoyed Anyamaru Tantei.

Well that was my intention from the start. It is impossible to determine which characters/shows etc. are 'best' as there are no clear criteria to choose such. I just wanted to hear your opinion.

Favorite female lead: Mio (MM!)
Favorite male side character: Garterbelt (if he counts as one since his name is in the title..)
Favorite female side character: Sanae (Ika)

Favorite OP: MM! or OreImo
Favorite ED: TWGOK
Favorite season: Fall
Favorite debuting seiyuu: N/A (i don't pay attention to seiyuu much)
Biggest positive surprise: Jellyfish Princess or Milky Holmes
Biggest negative surprise: Mayoi Neko Overrun (this started good, then only went downhill) OreImo is kinda close too...

I'm pretty sure SnI aired in Fall 2009.
>> No. 818
>>817
Meh it ended in december 09. Give me a break.
>> No. 819
whoops, forgot this;

Short summary: Probably my favorite year of the few short years i've been watching anime so far. 08 i was kinda late to and 09 i hit a period of not watching anime much (partly due to computer issues). Lot's of good stuff came out and i'm glad i tried all of it (even though i have two shows i need to finish from summer)
>> No. 820
>>817
I'd also like to point out SnI went into '10 if you count the specials. Thus her debut lasted into '10.
>> No. 821
>>820

SnI had specials, really? I never knew. Oh well, sorry abou that if that's the case.
>> No. 822
>>821
Sorry, I meant DVD release not specials.
>> No. 825
Favourite scene of the year:
That scene from High School of the Dead with bullets going through the matrix-tits. Damn, that was such an incredibly ridiculous over-the-top scene. The show would've been a lot better if it had more scenes like that.
>> No. 826
>>825

Yeah, I wanted to include that category, too. Heck, I'd even pick the same scene.
Tear jerker of the year award has got to go to Angel Beats!, however. As average as it was that particular scene was brilliant.
>> No. 829
>>825
That scene made me rage. Yes I realize it's anime and physics are all fake but come on.
>> No. 883
there are still two more episodes of shiki to come out this year, so i can't post in this thread yet
