You really shouldn't think of something that pops up in the last 2 or so episodes as the "plot" for episodic series like these. The actual plot of the show is about 2 slutty angels fighting ghosts/demons in order to get back to heaven. But yeah, the whole key thing is half-assed but hey, nobody's watching this show for the plot.

Anyways, I actually kind of like Panty. She's obnoxious but still pretty fun in contrast to the terribly plain female characters in anime.
