I really like Catman, an original net animation. I like the way the main character is a total loser. and the soundtrack is awesome.

On the topic of old school anime I watched AD Police Files recently. its probably not that obscure. the violence is great, I think newer violent anime doesnt have the same effect because the character designs are too pretty.

Another old cyberpunk anime I like is Armitage, even though its pretty dumb.

If you liked that, check out Parasite Dolls. It's set within the AD Police force, but a special unit in it. It's newer, but the animation is done in a very old style.

I can never tell whats obscure and what isn't.
