i deleted it the first three times, but it actually looks shittier every time i try to fix it so i guess i should quit now.

No, it means other subgroups picked up the show after they found out gg was the only ones doing it, and then gg lost all of it's audience.

First episodes of a show tend to get more downloads than ensuing eps, as a lot of people will want to check it out.

Sasami had a lot of hype surrounding it, and gg were the first to release the first episode. So it makes sense that they would attract a lot of downloads. Some people may have decided they didn't like it, and dropped it. Others may have moved onto different sub groups for it, like Commie or FFF.

actually it is fairly consistent across all fansub groups.
total downloads for ep2 was less than 50% of what it was for ep1 (61419 to 136617).

I'm not interested in any of the anime on that list, I wonder if that makes me a hipster?
