I can't hate him, I can only feel sorry for him. but yeah he pretty much single handily ruined the second season of Minami-ke.
I can't for the life of me understand why they would insert such a horrible depressing character into a SoL comedy.
all I can imagine is that he was there as someone viewers could relate to, not to be confused with a self insert character, but a sad pathetic socially awkward creepy kill joy loser with no friends who people secretly suspect is a insane murder. maybe the creators were trying to let the viewers know how poorly we'd all fit into a moderately bright and cheerful lighthearted anime like that, though I'm sure many probably don't need to be reminded of our place...

the whole season might be about fuyuki sacrificing himself to fix the fuukashima power plant and then he gets huge because of radiation and rampages across northern honshu until kim jong un saves japan by shooting megafuyuki with a ballistic missile?
that would be terrible.
