Film of the year, already posted about it on /sw/ and how happy it made me.

I was pleased that Barkhorn got some great scenes.

A bit more 3-d than I was expecting, a bit less obtrusive panty shots than I wanted, and for the ending a bit of a cop out, but that's mostly forgiven with the "TO BE CONTINUED" message at the end. Looking forward to Mio passing down her sword and skills in some sort of training arc to Yoshika in the next installment, and then more fencing Perrine. Thundercat, HO.

Very enjoyable movie, but I wished the first 45 mins wasn't mostly references to the other squadrons that would've been much better handled as a separate episode per homeland in an airing season than a segment of a movie.

I really wanted to love this movie, but it was rather lack luster. It seemed like they were trying to do to much at once and spreading themselves thin with all the supporting characters but going nowhere with any of them, expect for maybe Perrine&Lynette.
But it seemed like the impotent thing to focus on was Yoshika and getting her back into the war. Everything surrounding Sakamoto's appearance in the film was so awkward, mainly becuase she spent every second of her screen time in that small plane. I know she lost her magical abilities, but that doesn't mean they have to treat her like a cripple does it?
The whole movie felt like a lead in to a third season, yet it's been a good while now since the film hit BD and plans for a third haven't been announced yet as far as I know. Maybe I was expecting too much, but I wont say it was bad, it just wasn't what I hoped for.

you should really watch the credits when you watch anime movies. you'll miss important stuff otherwise.

Why? 99% of movies have nothing after the credits, even if they do, the creators are cunts for placing it there. Doesn't matter though becuase if there's anything relevant after the credits, I'll find out about it online and see it online.

Another thing, I'm not a retard, I already said it was obvious the movie was a lead in for more in the series, you shouldn't need a "to be continued" to see that. and my point still stands that nothing has been announced yet, but that's not to say I think there wont be any more.
