I was half asleep/half awake while watching the first episode, so I might have not got nearly everything I should have, but this genre is just not for me.

He spends all day hanging out with other girls (mostly her bullies).

He looks like a player, they only met once and he already claims he "likes her". It's all too fishy for me.

You do have a point, although the other girls are there with him probably to eventually cause some conflict down the plot.
Don't assume things cause of his looks; in the same way all girls in non-shojo look like sluts. (well the fact that most of them actually are is irrelevant)

Mei is hot.

I just watched episode 1 and 2 and I love it. One of my favorite shows this season now.

He's just alpha as fuck. He's someone who has been given nearly every possible choice in his life. When being able to explore these choices without fear of negative consequences, it's easy to imagine having trouble developing genuine feelings for every person you've been mildly intimate/socially involved with.

He takes interest in a girl who isn't as cut+paste typical as the rest of the girls. It doesn't make him fishy, just cool. The other girls are definitely going to be causing a ton of trouble in future episodes, like >>11717 said, though.

It's going to shape up to be a really good series, I think. Although, those of us who enjoy it can probably expect to have our hearts torn out by the end.

I really like this because I am hopeless shoujo romance fan.

Still that one guy feels bit slimy so I can understand why MC girl is bit afraid of him. But I hope he isn't "player" type of guy and truly has feelings for this girl. But like in every romance, there will be some problems, I know it.

Just catched up. It's like KImi ni Todoke The Abridged Series. We sure have some canon shoujo and manly men this season...

He does seem risky to me, but I think that's largely because Mei seems so vulnerable and most of the cards are in his hands by default. I don't get the feeling that he has any ulterior motives, though.

I can't agree with this. Just because you can do something, it doesn't mean it's morally correct to do it. More specifically, Mei was probably not the first girl to be interested in him in this way and he could had hurt her like that, just to add someone in his book.

I used to be stereotypically against modelling, during my teens; but, at this point, I think I'd do it if I could (it wouldn't last for too long, anyway)...

I actually worked near top models, once. They really got it ridiculously easy and they hardly make any expenses of their own; organizers freely take them to good hotels, feed them good stuff, dress them on, make-up them and they only need to do a one time rehersal on normal clothes before cat-walk; yet, one of them very probably makes more money for one calling than several of the other people involved, like me, working our asses off on all areas. And some of them weren't even that good looking, to be honest; but they're all fucking HUGE, indeed (which, together with their heels, hairdos and hats, made me feel like a small kid within them). I mean: that sporadical but really easy money could be a salvation for mostly abstentious and otherwise reclusive people like us; who, apart from maybe getting some collectibles now and then, wouldn't certainly throw it all out on drugs, booze, fancy clothes and nightclubs on a daily basis...

Back on topic: Mei can be a little annoying sometimes; she really might be even slower than Sawako.

It will probably end on note that will open the possibility for a continuation, I doubt they would just put a bad end like that for an anime.

We might get an OVA, but for now I think that's all.
