Although a little weirdly done, some characters are interesting. Inaban and Iori to be more specific.
The story better be explained in depth in some satisfactory way though, because it feels very forced.
On a different note, I believe they could had done much better if they had gotten rid of the lewdness they seem to enjoy inserting for no good reason. There's many other, better ways to make a point to the viewer and this one is cheap. Especially when you work so hard to build the mood for something serious.
