Not sure if S;G was one of them, but pizza hut officially sponsored tons of anime.
Oddly enough, while I've seen countless parodies of Dr. Pepper in anime over the years, FLCL Alternative is the first and only time I've seen an official looking placement of it.

The way ep5 went it made this story seem like it was gonna go in a really weird dumb direction So Kurisu is dead right? but her memory is backed up. Meanwhile a girl shows up who looks like Kurisu but has no memories. Kinda made it seem like they were possibly going to put the two together, but I have a hard time seeing how they could justify an action like that.

Kagari looking like Kurisu doesn't matter in the slightest, other than getting some reactions out of Okabe.

This series' editiors and director really now how to set a good cliffhanger. I felt legitimate dreat in the last scene. The moment Amadeus shut down I immediately though "Oh, no..." and it delivered immediately after. I have a very tiny complaing about Mayushii's cosplay friends, who while add to the fanservice aspect of the series, feel sligthly shoehorned in as a way to cement Daru's future marriage to Yuki; I get it, but still feels a little forced. I appreciate the little nods and hints that things may not being what it seem, like pic related.

I don't even remember pic related's name, but she has my attention now. Amazing episode and the scene after the credits is dimension-shattering. Seems this Okabe's suffering will never stop. I feel a little torn about wanting to discuss this here into much more detail while simultaneously wanting to spare others of spoilers.

I know Japanese might not be used to hearing them or maybe even recognize gun shots in the first place but I'm kinda surprised no one could call the cops in a fairly decently populated part of the city. Even if it was indoors, the sound of those things wouldn't go un-noticed by neighbors or people on the streets.

At the very least, how the heck did these two not hear anything as they came by?

It seems weird they wouldn't even notice the masked men with guns leaving the building, but I think it could probably be blamed on the transition from VN to anime. The nature of the medium makes it hard to establish just a few minutes or so of time has passed without making an intrusive cut which would be inappropriate for the scene in question not to mention excessive for such short amounts of time. Such as the scene fading into characters being in different positions while showing the clock moved forward.

Interesting episode with a slightly different tone and a bucketful of tender fan-service. The circumstances through which Kurisu and Okabe meet in this timeline are discordant with the regular alpha timeline, though, and now I'm confused. Time to go making notes in notepad.

The plot thickens. If Fubuki has Reading Steiner despite being some secondary peasant, does this mean anyone can have it? What about Amadeus? Maybe it can have it too despite being just and A.I. and that would explain the call that launched Okabe into the alpha time line: Amadeus tapped into the Russians' servers or whatever, copied the time machine info and sent Okabe to save her or something similar. I have no clue how this anime will reach Steins;Gate, but I'm glad I didn't read too many spoilers from the VN.

Faris is the one who chose each person's pyjamas, so probably went for whatever exploited their moe factor to eleven (Maho with a panda kigurumi, Moeka with a babydoll dress, and herself with something classy but childish), respective to what each wants. Maho wants to be able to feel vulnerable and tranquil, Moeka wants to be appealing, and Faris wants to remain a cuddled child forever... or something like that.

While this episode was good as usual the pacing felt "odd" somehow, but I can't really put a finger on what was wrong with it. This was probably the weakest episode for me so far. I expected a bit more weight on the writing and/or display of Maho's reaction to the truth... she seemed way too comfortable and at peace with it, as if it made perfect sense (which does to the viewers, but would be shocking to her). Not sure if this was faithful adaptation of how it happened in the VN, so I wouldn't know who's to blame, but it was certainly lacking and ever so slightly disappointing.

Apart, having to wait a week for each episode it's getting frustrating to the point I'm considering waiting until it finishes airing so I can watch it in one go. It'd be hard to avoid spoilers though, and I do like my now weekly S;G0 dinner ritual of Lasagna with a side of Garlic Bread and a few glasses of Dr. Pepper on the rocks.

Generally light-hearted episode, specially the parts with Daru and his date with Yuki, and getting caught, pic related, but I also like the pseudo-detective merged with SoL parts and I laughed quite a few times. The last part and ending are great as usual and makes it really hard to wait a full week to see more.

Okabe mentions they gave up on trying to decrypt it in other timelines, so it has nothing to do with the OS.

I'm slightly confused by this episode's theme and pacing, and I'm getting a bad feeling about it. The episode intercalated between fan-service, moe moments, creepy moments and odd reveals with little thematic coherence, as if the writing were rushed. I still enjoyed it, but I wonder if it was a flaw of production or a flaw of the source material. While it was not 100% clear, I did like the implications regarding Kagari though. Hopefully this was a one-time thing or something "necessary" that will make sense later.

Okabe has nice handwriting.

I forgot to post about the previous episode (14). I felt it was a little rushed and both pacing and editing (or maybe just the order of sequence) felt odd, as if they didn't know how to tackle that amount of information and had to get it done right there and then.

So, the second cour started... with a "new" OP that is inferior visually and more boring, with the same song but using the second stanza, which is pointless and lame; the ED was also changed, with the song being average and the sequence being minimum-effort. Sad, really.

Onto the episode, it was alright. The constant teasing of Maho is cute and overall this was a very endearing episode (no spoilers). I do have the impression the overall quality has been slashed, but might be just bias. At least they finally corrected Mayuri's inflated oppai back to normal.

This episode was great; everything went right back to form. The suffering was palpable, rational and not over-the-top. Can't say much without given spoilers away, but whatever happened in the two previous episodes regarding directorial issues seems to have been just a fluke and will hopefully be easy to overlook upon a rewatch. New OP and ED are still meh, but I guess I'll just get used to it.

I hate seasonal anime so much. Having to wait days for an episode to air is so annoying.

This episode was superb and can't wait for four more. This is probably the last time I'll watch a seasonal anime, I just can't deal with the waiting. Back on topic, I really didn't expect the current outcome and I feel that's a good thing because it changes the formula a little bit while taking advantage to give the viewers what they want without making a mess while simultaneously surprising them. Forgot top post last week, so I guess I'll do it now before watching the last episode.

This episode was also pretty decent, but now in retrospective I realize the series wasn't paced very well, and quite a bit could have been cut out to show more important parts like Okabe's future. I really hope it ends on a good note. I planned a S;G rewatch so I would land right on today's ending and then watch the last episodes of the original series for a perfect wrap up.

I finished this a couple hours ago and then watched the rest of S;G following the timeline. Now that it's over, I think it definitely has issues and if I were to rewatch it in one go, I'd notice it has pacing issues very similar to the original in the sense that spends a lot of time in fan service and slice of life parts when it could use that time to further explore the things that make this anime unique. Overall a very nice ending, if a bit too rushed, but certainly inferior to its predecessor. I do wonder what people that played the VN think about this, but I think it's safe to assume it's better, just like the original. There's episode 24 (OVA) remaining, no clue what it'll be about.
