We've recovered most of the missing images, but there are still around 100 give or take we couldn't recover. If you made a post on any board which has a missing image, and you still have said image and would like to have the post restored please post it here and we'll take care of the rest.

So as some of you might have noticed there were a number of deleted posts/threads around the site for a while there. Thanks to the efforts of Asayake and asie they were able to recover these posts. Images are missing at the time of writing this but we're working on it.
As for what happened... whelp I'm not gonna beat around the bush here, last night while taking care of some cp spam I basically banned & deleted the wrong post as well as deleting all posts that ip made, which happened to be on one of my posts. so yeah I accidentally deleted every post I ever made on the whole site with my current ip, which of course included every thread I've made and the posts of other people in them. Funny enough I've always been a bit worried about something like this happening with that feature we got, but never imagined I'd be the dumbass to do it. page numbers by tohno - 6th Dec 2015

I'll begin pushing some changes to the site now. The new honeypot can be quite temperamental and I'd recommend not trying to post for the next half an hour or so.
In case the site accuses you of being a spam bot I recommend clearing the form data history from your browser, doing a full refresh and trying again. If that doesn't work and you can't post then you can probably find me on IRC so I can see what's the problem. More stuff by noto - 23rd Jan 2015
I'm about to upload some of the stuff I've been working on for the past few days. This update includes:
- Static thumbnails for webm files (based on code from an anonymous contributor for the kusabaX support board) - Reply backlinks on image type boards (heavily based on code provided by Leptossomico from the kusabaX support board) - A new honeypot to deter the current wave of spamming. I tried to make the honeypot the less disruptive possible, but it might still break posting on some boards for a while. We are putting up broader range bans in order to curb some of the CP spam that's been affecting the site lately. If your ISP range gets accidentally caught inside them please look for a staff member on the IRC channel so we can discuss a solution.

After talking about it a bit we decided to create /navi/ - science and technology. /mt/ will remain as it is for the most part as a place for discussing literature, philosophy, general education, and so on. Front page menu and map updates to come shortly. If you have any complaints or thoughts on the matter feel free to voice them on /fb/

With the help of Asayake, I tried making a simple mobile version of our front page. Basically the same thing but smaller and more compact. mobile devices 'should' redirect to it when visiting the front page. As for converting the rest of the site... yeah fuck that lol.

I've finished pushing all the changes I made to the site. All the major boards should now have a new catalog, while not as nice as zmode's it's fully integrated into the site and shouldn't cause problems should I ever decide to take a holiday in Gensokyo.

So yeah, merging /foe/ /vn/ and /vg/ was a mistake. The boards will be restored to how they were before, but post numbers may get a bit screwed up due to the move. sorry for the trouble.

Decided to (finally) merge /vn/ and /foe/ into /vg/, as those boards were half dead and they're all game related anyway. So yeah just go to /vg/ for your touhou or visual novel needs. nukige however is to stay in /ns/

Please keep meta threads on /fb/, but also try to avoid making meta threads centered around community and content, as these are things that we really can't do much about. If it's in regards to something related to the technical workings of the site, that's something we can actually do something about(once we get some tech support anyway) thanks.
